21.01.2022 We have a new web page!! Check it out at www.aceovenrepair.com.au

21.01.2022 Do you want a good easy way to clean the chrome shelves and racks from your oven? Shimples!! Soak overnight in the hottest water you can with a half cup of nappysan. The goobies just wipe off in the morning. To clean the door glass DO NOT use any type of scourer or abrasive cleaner ever! Even the plastic green ones. .... How do you cut glass? You put a scratch in it and apply heat on one side. If you put ANY scratches in your door glass the continual heating and cooling will eventually lead to an exploding door and the glass flies everywhere. You will then need to call your insurance company and clean up a big mess. We can fix most broken door glasses by the way. What you are trying to clean off is baked hard like car paint. You need a hammer and chisel, not a spray can. Soften it first. Try this- Open the door, spray the glass with oven cleaner (Caz likes K2R) then cover with 2 layers of paper towel. Make sure both layers are wet with oven cleaner and smooth against the glass. Leave door open overnight and in the morning everything will be softened and will simply wipe off. The paper towel keeps everything moist because if it dries out you are back where you started. Try not to spray the hinges, the oven cleaner dulls the finish. Use a normal surface cleaner on the areas not touched by heat. 5979 4565 and talk to Caz. You will be pleasantly surprised with how well she knows ovens and how keen she is to send me out to work. Pleasant surprises are how we like to work. We carry a wide range of Ilve, Smeg, Omega, Blanco and De Longhi plus many more oven parts in the van for lesser known brands so we can make your recipes work and your food delicious again. 5979 4565. Cheers Phil..

18.01.2022 There is a bit more to a modern oven than just elements.

11.01.2022 I love living and working on the Mornington Peninsula. Today I drove from Hastings to Mornington, popped down to Portsea to help an 87 year old look after her 95 year old husband then enjoyed empty back roads all the way to Somers. This is not a normal day's travel for me but shows that Ace Oven Repair are somewhere on the Peninsula EVERY working day and can get to you fast. Not one day a week in 3 weeks time because we are too busy elsewhere.. This means faster service wi...th greater flexibility for you when booking a visit. We carry nearly $40,000 worth of Smeg, Ilve, Delonghi,, Omega and Blanco parts plus other brands in our van to get you going fast on the first visit. If we need to, Carolyn finds parts fast and has me fitting them usually the day after they arrive (oh she works me hard). 5979 4565 Let Carolyn spoil you and let me return your oven to full performance. As you can see from the comments, people like the way we treat them. Best Regards Phil. See more

05.01.2022 My self cleaning oven isn't keeping very clean :( Possibly the food doesn't quite have the flavor it used to? Does your oven have the coffee colored panels on the side and back of your oven? If you rub them do they feel smooth like paint or rough like sandpaper? The rough brown panels are called Catalytic panels and they are the self cleaning part of your oven. ... These panels have a highly absorbent coating that gathers and holds any grease and oils floating around inside your oven while cooking. The coating is quite thin so the coating fills up quick then starts working backwards, releasing overtones of last week's roast to compliment tonight's chocolate pudding. You are now worse off than if you had bought a normal oven. What's the cure Phil? When Catalytic panels get a bit dark and smelly, bring them back to new by burning them off for 1 hour at 250 degrees C on fan forced with a tray of water in the bottom.. When the oven cools the panels should be back to their original light brown color and there will be dust all over the oven floor. Give it a wipe out with a damp cloth and Voila!! If you haven't done this for a while you could have some upset smoke detectors as your kitchen will get quite smoky. Open the doors and windows while everything burns off and from now on do a burn off after each roast. and your food will taste amazing. If the panels are kept clean the door glass and everything else stays clean as well. DO NOT use anything except oven heat to clean the panels. Oven cleaners of any kind or even dish washing detergent instantly gets absorbed by the panels and completely clogs the coating. They are now useless and will only pong out your oven each time you cook. You need to take them out and throw them away especially if they reek of chemicals. Alternatively, call us for a set of new fresh contamination absorbing replacements. They are not that expensive and the flavor upgrade will be noted by those who enjoy the fruit of your efforts. Call Carolyn on 5979 4565 and she can order a new set of catalytic panels to suit your European oven if you find after the burn off that they still don't look and smell clean. I promise you, your family will notice the flavor difference and the compliments on your cooking will flow. Ilve, Smeg, Omega, Blanco, DeLonghi ad all other high quality brands. www.aceovenrepair.com.au
