From the day we are put into school, the amount of pressure (which turns into stress) that is placed on us to conform and do 'what we are supposed to' is insane. ... I wasn't dumb and am not dumb by any means, but I was made to feel like I was, because of the things I HAD to do in school. School, just isn't for some people, and that is ok. I know that for me, that pressure built up through the years and made me feel inadequate. By the time I got to the end of year 10, I was told by a teacher that I would be nothing in life and I would be driving a garbage truck at the age of 30. How do you think a 16 year old, who is already feeling lost and below average would react to that? Not very well, I'll tell you that much. If you are going through the schooling system at the moment or have children, friends or family that are struggling through these same feelings, PLEASE show them this video and this post. - I dropped out of school. - Was told I would be nothing. - Was pushed into believing that the only way to 'succeed' is University -Thought my life was over When in reality it hadn't even started. 02.01.2022 As requested // Healthy Brownies 1 medium sweet potato, grated finely (roughly the size of my two fists together) 1/2 cup cacao powder 1/4 cup coconut oil... 1/4 cup honey/ rice malt syrup 3 tbsp almond meal 2 tbsp pure maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tsp baking powder Pre-heat the oven to 160C. Place all ingredients into a bowl, mix well. Spread mixture into a baking tin lined with baking paper. Bake for approximately 20- 30 minutes as desired. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Enjoy
