25.01.2022 Do you know the difference between capers and caper berries or how they are grown? On a recent Cultivate tour we had a fantastic visit to Bunya Red Farm to find out all about growing capers. What an amazing story. So what is the difference between capers and caperberries? ... Capers are the unopened buds of the caper bush that are pickled and often used as a seasoning or garnish. A caperberry is the fruit of the caper bush; it is generally found with the stem on and, like the caper, is pickled. The bushies look like spiky echidnas at the moment but as soon as the warm weather some this will start shooting and then producing yummy capers! We just love to showcase local producers!
