25.01.2022 What better way to eliminate quads in a squat than to do a 90 degree squat or feet forward squat. Focusing on driving up through the heels! Lots of fun doing this exercise.

24.01.2022 Having a bit of fun at work! A T-shirt for two

22.01.2022 Perfected this routine with my gym buddy! Always a good fun session with a gym buddy!

20.01.2022 Are you having your fruits daily? Check out these fruits at your local shops, currently in season and taste sooo good!

19.01.2022 Burpees are so good for you and so challenging. Why do plain old burpees when you can spice it up with a back roll and pull up? Give it a try heaps of fun!!

19.01.2022 Working on my booty. At the moment 20kg smith machine lunges are one of my top 5 fav exercises to do to grow my glute muscles! 5 sets of 10 reps each leg does it for me

19.01.2022 The team I have been working with for the whole of 2016 and what a bunch of talented pts! Learnt so much, had so much fun and what a great 2016 it has been for me! Glad to have joined the Virgin Active Bourke st team!

19.01.2022 I have gained interest in this pose lately, working on the crow pose, both normal and wide grip crow pose. It is amazing when you find the centre of gravity when you're in the pose, feels so light and effortless.

15.01.2022 After dealing with my tennis elbow for 3 long months, literally not being able to do anything on it, especially when lifting a 700ml water bottle causes sharp pains through my elbow, im finally back up and doing hand stands! Experiencing injuires makes me more wiser and what not to do, it's all trial and error. When dealing with an injury, the most important thing is listen to your physio/osteo advise, which is rest, stretch and strengthen. That's the key to speedy recovery!

13.01.2022 Adding a twist to my trx knee tucks, if you don't find the normal knee tucks challenging anymore, then take it to the next level! Making sure your core is engaged whilst being in the position! Give it a go!

13.01.2022 Finally able to do 80kg with perfect form, although there's always room for improvement! Teaching this exercise is one of the challenges of being a trainer but one your clients gets it and does it well, it is a very rewarding feeling!

10.01.2022 I have finally tried push up claps, definitely more of a challenge on your upper body, be mindful of technique!

08.01.2022 Don't let injuries run your world. First step to an injury is to rest it, stretch it and ice it. Step 2 is to strengthen the weak muscle/s. Step 3 is slowly get back into the exercises you do and see what might be too much for muscle/s. So happy to be able to do pulls again and do it with no pain!

07.01.2022 How gorgeous is this dish! Recommend having lunch @ Higher Ground Cafe

07.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! Finished off this week with a great profession in single leg squat. Push through, keep practicing and what tricky or challenging exercise would get easier but you need to keep going at it

06.01.2022 Ok so my gym buddy tells me about exercises I haven't done before and then I challenge it, it's airways a good feeling when you discover you are stronger than you think you are, so every gym session counts! You physically get stronger every time you pick up those weights without realising, and that's what I love about fitness!

06.01.2022 Putting Boutcher's 8/12/20 interval training to the test! Studies have shown that doing this 3 x week for 20 minutes without changing your diet still taps into fat storages, particularly around the tummy, but and legs. So result is, fat loss even if you have a bad diet. This is me after the first time getting to 20 minutes, i am soaked in sweat and pain!

06.01.2022 Focusing on lots of single leg work! Favorite exercise so far is my single leg cable squats! Always finding new ways to challenge my muscles!

03.01.2022 Achievement! Hitting 90kg barbell squats, love how it makes my hamis and glutes feel afterwards

01.01.2022 After lower back issues and a tennis elbow, it's good to be able to get back into Sumo deadlifts at 60kg for 10 reps and to do it with better form. More aware of my body and what it has been doing and it always takes an injury for you to see. So I always take injuries as a blessing rather than a burden. It just means it gives you the opportunity to self improve before something serious happens.
