23.01.2022 Only 25 per cent of Australians aged over 65 achieve the recommended physical activity guidelines, which suggests moderate intensity exercise for 30 minutes on ...most days. Staying active as we age can not only help to reduce falls, but can also help to ease pain associated with conditions like knee and hip osteoarthritis. Your physiotherapist can help design an exercise program tailored to your needs. #choosephysio for exercise prescription as you age See more
22.01.2022 Are you 74 years old? Could you help us with a research project at our Annerley or South Brisbane clinic? Please contact us on 3163 1188. We are looking for one last person who does NOT have a Functional Neurological Disorder or any other neurological condition to complete our study. It involves a 5-minute assessment of some simple hand exercises. Our Active Rehabilitation Research Foundation supports research to improve quality of life, enhance activity and social participation, and to reduce the economic burden of healthcare for patients by improving outcomes in the pre-treatment, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery. 21.01.2022 Are you, or someone you know thinking about knee surgery? Come and talk to your Physio first.
19.01.2022 Look at these smiles! For the first time in her life, this 18-year-old has walked on her own! She has been a patient at Active, and we'd like to thank Aidacare, who kindly donated a walking frame to assist with these first steps once they heard her story. Just one month ago, she was unable to crawl, roll over or stand up without help. With the help of her interpreter and carer, her family and our experienced physiotherapists, she has been able to make significant improvements in her day to day living and independence. Aidacare

Collectively, over $1000 was raised and will be shared between the Red Cross and WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service) appeals. Go Team Physio!
