Here’s what Ben our IT Helpdesk Technician loves the most about what he does: I like working in IT because it is a constantly evolving and changing environment. Every day different issues occur that keep me on my toes and keep the job interesting. In addition to this, helping clients on a daily basis lets me end the day knowing that I have achieved something each and every day. For a faster paced environment, Cyber Security forces you to adapt to new threats and exploits to provide ongoing security for clients. For me it is fascinating to see the exploits and processes that malicious actors will use and the mitigations that are deployed against these.

From hardware failure, theft or malware infection, data loss can stop a business’ operation.... Regularly backing up to the cloud or external hard drives will give you peace that if something did happen, you can be up and running sooner than expected. Stay cyber safe and back up regularly!

20.01.2022 New Scam Alert Scammers are currently contacting Australians via phone & email impersonating the Australian Cyber Security claiming that their computer has compromised. Reports have claimed these scammers requesting Australians to download ‘Antivirus’ ‘TeamViewer’ or ‘AnyDesk’ to their device to assist in resolving an existing malware issue. ... Scammers have also asked recipients to enter a URL into their device while accessing their online banking account to expose their bank details directing to the scammer. 10.01.2022 Here’s the final update from our ‘Moustachioed Service Provider’ Thank you to all those who supported our team in raising funds for a great cause! (Especially our partners and kids that had to put up with it). All jokes aside, we are proud to do our part in supporting men’s mental health by sporting a stash and opening up the conversation with our loved ones throughout November.... At activIT Systems the support doesn’t stop here. As a team, we make it a priority to regularly check in with each other to see how we are coping mentally and seek support from others when we are struggling. Together we stop the stigma of mental health. #Movember

Throughout the Christmas period, we will be operating with our Skeleton Staff from the 24th of December to the 4th of January.... Additionally, our office will be closed on the 25th, 28th of December & the 1st of January.

If you aren’t expecting the email and there’s no need open it, just delete it. ... Don’t always trust the contact details provided. Use the contact details you have for the business or find it on their website to confirm it was from them before you proceed with any actions. Stay cyber safe and be caution when opening emails!
