06.01.2022 Such a well deserved appointment. I have had the pleasure of working closely (actually 2 meters away for many years!) with Mel since my appointment at AOPA in 2011. I vividly recall her enthusiasm when we decided our two organisations would live together, which we did for more than 6 years. Mel was one of my first governance mentors and was always prepared to assist as I learnt the ins and outs of Association management. I have no doubt that my journey would have been diff...erent, and harder, without her support. It is this enthusiasm and support that she also brings to the amputee and limb loss community. Such a fierce leader and advocate! Congratulations Mel xxx

05.01.2022 A pleasure to represent Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association certified orthotist/prosthetists at todays meeting with the Hon Greg Hunt, Minister for Health. Discussions focused on recognition of allied health and the role of allied health in primary care. We continue to advocate for the inclusion of orthotist/prosthetists in Medicare, to increase access to amputation prevention services.... #OandP
