25.01.2022 We've removed the rule that limits players from pitching more than 2 innings. Why? Not everyone enjoys pitching so we don't want to force teams to spread the load. Plus some folks have trouble throwing strikes which can slow the tempo of the game Players can now pitch as many innings as they want but remember to share the position if others want a crack This change also applies to kickball

22.01.2022 Due to a high volume of requests we’ve pushed the Sunday Comp back 1 week to avoid clashing with the sporting extravaganza weekend of 24 & 25 Oct. More specifically the AFL & NRL grand finals. The new Sunday start date is November 1. Multiple double headers will be injected into the draw to make up for the lost week

13.01.2022 We're getting a few queries around our game day changes as a result of COVID. Here’s the scoop... Firstly, the spring preseason email will go out next Monday the 19th. This will include draws, general info and will cover FAQ. Including issues relating to COVID If you’re not on the mailing list, don’t stress. Your skippers should pass the info along. And if they don't, the two big ticket items are...... 1) No sharing of gloves! We’ll load up the kits so you don’t have to share. Grab you mitt when you arrive then leave it by your belongings during the game 2) Glove slaps after the games instead of handshakes Needless to say common sense also applies... 13.01.2022 The Social League kickball season will be played at Cook Oval starting Wednesday the 21st of October So what’s kickball?!? Similar rules to baseball but with a hint of football (soccer). The ball is rolled at the batter who then tries to kick the ball with the goal of getting to 1st base & beyond The Wednesday Cook comp will cater for teams that want to play kickball, baseball or both. If you're struggling to get a full squad together we can link you up with others. Teams of 10+ are recommended 2 Set up a group chat. 04.01.2022 ** UPDATE & EDIT: 2 team spots are available ** GALA FORMAT ~ Sunday 20th September @ Cook It's a knockout tournament but teams that lose their first game move into the losers bracket. This guarantees all teams at least two games. Round 1 games will be 5 innings, all other games will be 6 innings. In the last inning there'll be no 6 run cap so you’re still a chance come the last inning. Team batting line-ups must be submitted with the umpire, clip boards will be provide...d. A min of 3 females must be on each team. Teams with 4 or more females receive 3 bonus runs for the match. Squad sizes can be unlimited but a max of 11 players can play defense at a time. All players on the roster can hit. Note: Rule modifications apply to the Gala Day only and do not apply to the regular Social League season. PRIZES The winners receive free team registration ($1475) for the spring comp The winners of the losers bracket receive free drinks at the first game of the spring comp The draw will be finalised, distributed & posted on Friday the 18th of September
