25.01.2022 Hi there, Im training clients at Victoria Park these days. Its exhilarating training outside and everyone seems to be enjoying it. Weve been lucky with the weather and it seems most of Adelaide and their dogs are out and about in Vic Park these days - so good to see! Contact me if you would like to have a 1 on 1 workout in the fresh air.

24.01.2022 Hi from Montreal, loving it here for so many reasons. Charming city you may as well be in France. The people here are very friendly. Very easy to get around with many options. My favourite - the Bixi bikes which you can grab/hire from every block and as long as you change every 30 mins you can just keep riding. Great way to keep fit and enjoy the city from a different perspective.

20.01.2022 If you value your health in later life take a look at this http://youtu.be/vZRCkUzROr0

20.01.2022 Lunges target the quadriceps and glutes most intensely, but also work the hamstrings, calves and core. They also challenge your balance particularly if you do them correctly by placing your weight on the heel of the front foot. Think of right or 90 degree angles when achieving the ideal bend in your knees. From a standing position step forward into a lunge, body upright. Step back or forward or try a static lunge and repeat. Make sure both feet are pointing forward dont let the rear foot splay out. Enjoy - lunges are so good for your body but watch the knees if you already have issues with those joints.

15.01.2022 Are you living with Diabetes? Are your BSL’s (Blood Sugar Levels) high? Want to reduce them? EXERCISE has been proven to be one of the most positive ways to do so. I have a client who 12 months ago started exercising with me twice a week. Her BSLs went from 9.3% to 8.2% and are now 7.5% her GP wanted her to reach 7% well she’s nearly there. Proof that some form of exercise is recommended not only for diabetes sufferers but for almost every other medical disorder. She hasn’...t lost as many kilos as she would like but she did lose 7 Kilos over that time and gained 2 kilos of muscle. Unfortunately calorie intake and nutrition are really up to the individual. Most of us know what and how we should be eating but following the rules is not always easy. Just keep trying. See more

If you look after yourself you will be able to... live the life and be as active as you know you want to be. It's never too late to include physical activity in your day. Make sure you get up and go every day. If you need help, motivation, support - give me a call on 0410 649 037. Special rates for my facebook friends! See more

14.01.2022 What do you get for your money when you have a personal trainer? You get an individual who: Is keen to pass on their knowledge for your benefit; studied Cert III and usually Cert IV courses to become a master trainer; is bound to continue studying to remain accredited in the industry; knows the best way and order to provide exercises which compliment each other; usually puts in up to an additional hour per client weekly in preparation; pays rent at the gym you workout at to ensure you have the best equipment available and enjoys and gets a kick out of training you and watching you progress!! THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR PAYING ME!!!!!!!

14.01.2022 Adding TRX suspension training and Rehabilitation Accreditation to my portfolio.

14.01.2022 Eileen’s bridges are magic - right up on the shoulders. Good job Eileen

13.01.2022 Hi Guys, If you come to Adapt4Life for personal training you might be able to do this one day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqru3bbKQws I said might!!

12.01.2022 Wide Hand Push-ups Wide hand push-ups require your hands to be positioned wider then your shoulders. The elbows are slightly flared outward - greater work for your shoulders and chest muscles. Make sure your head is not involved in the movement. Your neck should always be in line with your spine.

12.01.2022 Why have a personal trainer? To make sure you don't hurt yourself by doing exercises incorrectly. To get the most out of every workout. To keep you motivated and interested in your workout and fitness targets. To introduce you to exercises you may not have done before.... To keep you honest!!! See more

11.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish everyone a year of getting fitter, stronger and healthier. Time for a reminder of the reasons you dont work out and how to fix them: 1. LACK OF TIME - is living longer and stronger worth finding time for? Shorter more effective workouts WORK. 2. NO SUPPORT OR MOTIVATION - try reminding yourself of your goals, they are still worth the effort. Work out with a buddy. 3. BOREDOM - you would never be bored with my workouts!! Try to vary your programs. The...re are so many variations for exercising every body part. 4. FRUSTRATION FROM LACK OF RESULTS - Patience! Have realistic goals and an appropriate training program. Exercise and eating well are the recipe for weight loss if thats what you are after. The 5:2 fasting method may suit you. It is not only good for losing a few kilos but also good for the digestive system but check with your doctor first. If toning is what you are after - build 3 sets of targeted weighted exercises with maximum reps into your workouts - but build up gradually. Contact me if you would like more information. Happy Workouts! See more

02.01.2022 Why do it? When you go to the gym if you go, do you do the same exercises every time? Do you even know if you are doing them correctly? Do you know which muscles you are working on? Do you know the various ways to work those muscles to maximise results? Do you know how to progress exercises? Are you motivated to workout? Do you know all about HIIT High Intensity Interval Training and why it works? Are you game to try it? Whats the difference between HIIT and Tabata? All of this and so much more is what you get from Personal Training. Its worth every cent and you do get value for money.

01.01.2022 Do you wonder if you are doing that exercise right? I see so many people in the gym doing their own wrong versions of nearly every exercise. Do yourself a favour and pay for one session with a personal trainer. Its well worth it to make sure you are actually working the right muscles. Squats are a perfect example; is your weight in your heels? Are you shins vertical? Knees well back from the toes? Chest up? If not then your quadriceps/thighs and butt are not benefiting. Slow is best, speed them up if you want cardio. Make your exercises count!
