21.01.2022 First dyno of the year.. We managed to tune this amazing FD3S, and got what we expected. The @turblown IWG turbo kit and the @borgwarnerincperformance EFR837...4 performed as expected and @adaptronic made the tuning precise and reliable. 20.01.2022 #RX4444 on the dyno with its new #ECU and engine combo. What a sound . Turn up the volume, listen to this thing rev to 9000rpm. It's an epic sound. Believe it ...or not power is still climbing like it's climbing mount Everest. Who says an Adaptronic can't power your drag car. The #m6000 ecu performs flawlessly controlling 4 stages of injectors like it's nothing. Absolutely 0 tweaking required from me, 100% automatic. Ecu is monitoring all the vital signs and everything is working flawlessly, differential fuel pressure is absolutely perfect with the mechanical fuel pump at this point. At least we know when we reach the limit of the mechanical pump it will be a simple cut off by the ecu. No blown engines or guessing . It starts perfectly everytime cold or hot on methanol with no spray can required, the joys of having an ECU that gives you the flexibility to tune most aspects of the engine. Did I mention this thing uses one of #IGN1A Ignition kits which has so far had no issues burning a 3.80 fuel mixture all the way to 9000. I am not going to rev it any higher for now as the engine is still fresh, we will put some more boost in it so that we can go out and run some low 9 second passes and get a feel for the car. #reliability first. Running a large street port, @goopyperformance apex seals and studs, @turblown iwg 7670e...fr and @adaptronic modular. We took this car out to 22psi taper to 18 at redline. Then we knocked out a mock-up for the cat delete in Bobby’s 8474 build. 01.01.2022 #RX8SP doing its thing out on the track. Paul has had it out at Wakefield and already run a PB. He also had it out at SMSP. Currently limited to 10psi and 8000r...pm, the car has a broad torque curve and has proven to be a very well balanced package. Our #raceonlypowerplant is tracking really well and is ready to see some revs. It's nice to see this thing finally able to do a track session without damaging the engine, with all the safety protection strategies we have enabled in the Adaptronic ECU we have heavily reduced most of the scenario's we would have to deal with which would cause an engine failure. We have a little maintenance to do in the coming week before we take it to 9000rpm, otherwise she has done well so far and otherwise performed flawlessly.
