24.01.2022 Stew about to taxi out to runway 32 (Strathalbyn) with new student, David at the controls of the Aeros 2. In the background Andrew warms up the XT-582 for a one hour solo flight to the river mouth and return as he works his way to Pilot Certificate.

24.01.2022 Above the Strathalbyn Airfield looking down on some lovely Autumn colours. Still an empty seat that we are keen to fill once the restrictions are relaxed. But for now just happy that I can still get out to the airfield for some solo flying and keep myself sane!

22.01.2022 A first solo at Strathalbyn today for John flying a Magni M24. This particular gyro was the 800th to roll off the Magni production line. It has since circumnavigated mainland Australia, flown to remote areas of the vast Australian outback and John becomes the fifth person to learn to fly and solo in in it. It has logged just shy of 1,400 hours and still going strong!

18.01.2022 With rain and the possible thunderstorm or two forecast we made the most of the good weather yesterday conducting some lessons and trial flights in the Magni M16.

18.01.2022 A first solo today for Wayne in the Magni M24. Well done!

17.01.2022 Spent the day teaching in the Magni M16 before conducting some Trial Flights in the Magni M24 in classic winter flying conditions. Weather is looking good for our group breakfast flight to Brooklands Airpark tomorrow, hope many of you will be able to join us. I will have several BBQs fired up and ready to cook bacon and eggs by 8:30. Come join the fun!

17.01.2022 A nice little training flight today with Steve in the Magni M16, Strath to Aldinga, along the coast to Carrickalinga, then over to Victa Harbor, Goolwa home to Strath. Enjoyed Coffee & Cake at Aldinga, saw a few whales on the way home. I think Steve enjoyed his lesson!

16.01.2022 Plenty of activity at the airfield today, photos of some of our trike and gyro students enjoying the spring weather At Strathalbyn.

15.01.2022 The morning started with a full cover of fog but eventually lifted to a nice day allowing a first solo for Andrew. Flight training has been slow with the Covid19 shut down meaning we lost most of Autumn which is traditionally our best time of year (weather wise)for teaching. We are back teaching on a small scale with reduced students numbers and other CovidSafe measures in place but at least back up and flying.... Well done to Andrew for hanging in there during these trying times and congratulations on first solo!

07.01.2022 Fun weekend spent at Robe, flying down Saturday morning for their Fly-in and returning to Strathalbyn today via Kingston.

03.01.2022 It has been a great winter season for flying this year and although we may have to dodge the odd shower it looks like another good weekend coming up. Sunday looks the better of the two days but I will be out there with students on the go both days. Who else is flying this weekend?
