14.01.2022 Meet Louie Louie is a 12 year old Maltese cross who was rescued as a euthanasia candidate suffering from Cushings Disease. He was started on treatment but then developed lameness when the healing of previous surgery was hampered by the Cushings disease. When his ability to walk became more difficult his owner got him a support cart. Six months ago he was unable to stand unsupported. Following treatment with acupuncture and an Assisi loop he is able to move himself around in this cart. His treatment is progressing, keep tuned for more news about this little boy.

05.01.2022 Duke was a 6-month-old Golden Retriever pup who was playing on the trampoline with his young owners when he jumped off and hurt his left front leg. A visit to his regular vet diagnosed a soft tissue injury and prescribed pain relief and rest. Three weeks later he was still lame after exercise and he was admitted for X-rays with no obvious lesions. He continued his Carprofen but was intermittently lame especially on rising and after exercise. In early July, Duke had ...a remedial massage with K9 Dynamics who asked me to come and examine him. He was not weightbearing on his left front leg an holding his paw out to the side. There was pain in the posterior shoulder muscles associated with trigger points. He received some laser treatment to his left shoulder. We contacted Duke’s local vet with our findings and arranged for Duke to have his X Rays repeated. This time ther appeared to be a subtle lesion in his shoulder joint so the X rays were sent to the specialist radiologists for their opinion. They confirmed our suspicions. Duke had OCD of the shoulder. Look out for Duke’s updates. See more

01.01.2022 Corky: Here is Corky is a 12.5-year-old male neuter chocolate Labrador Retriever who is disenchanted with having his photo taken. Recently, Corky suffered an episode of Geriatric Vestibular disease (loss of balance and coordination) causing him to have falls and not be able to cock his leg to urinate. Once he started anti-inflammatory treatment and with an Assisi Loop he began to slowly improve. He was also given tablets to increase the blood supply and oxygenation of his brain and this has accelerated his recovery.
