21.01.2022 The amazing Dani from Dphotographics is the in-house Ashford Maternity Photographer. In response to COVID19 she has created a fantastic free Facebook group, exclusively for Ashford Hospital families, sharing tips & tricks to take your own newborn photos! She’s also running some great competitions! Such a great way for new parents to connect safely.

20.01.2022 Pregnancy Classes: Preparing for the birth of your baby We’re pleased to welcome patients back into our rooms for all antenatal classes! We’re so grateful to our patients for allowing us to provide our classes via ZOOM while it was not safe for us to do so in person. To keep patients safe our class numbers will remain small to allow for social distancing. We still ask that anyone feeling unwell with Cold or Flu like symptoms rebook for another class.... 10.01.2022 Ashford Hospital have announced changes to their Maternity Visitors Policy announced 01/06/2020: We are pleased to be able to relax some of our visitor restrictions in maternity. Effective 02/06/20 the following will apply: Mothers may have one nominated support person / partner permitted to stay for the duration of admission.... In addition, siblings of the newborn are permitted to visit with the following guidelines: - Visit only between 3.00pm and 4.30pm - Remain within the postnatal suite for the duration of their visit - Not permitted to visit the Nursery - Must not be unwell - Attend compulsory screening and undertake hand hygiene upon entry to the hospital : Multiple siblings are permitted to visit at one time, with the nominated support person. For others wishing to visit, we encourage you to call your loved one to keep in touch. Thank you for your support in helping to keep our hospital as safe as possible. This class provides a fantastic foundation for pregnant women wishing to learn more about breastfeeding. 07.01.2022 SAME DAY ASSESSMENT FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE JUST TESTED PREGNANT Confirm pregnancy with our same-day single-fee pregnancy assessment and testing service. We are now offering a safe single-visit option for women who are concerned about the progress of their new pregnancy, with everyday access to a fully staffed pregnancy assessment and testing service.... Our once-off fee includes immediate access to ultrasounds, blood tests and advice from a specialist obstetrician, depending on individual situation. No referral is required. If women are not covered by private health insurance and require further assessment, we’ll provide a referral to the nearest public obstetrics and gynaecology unit. We’ll also refer all non-pregnancy related health issues back to a preferred GP. There’s no need to book multiple appointments, no need to waste time driving between multiple providers, and no need to wait for or chase-up resultswe’ll do it all in our rooms. Don’t worry about a new pregnancy in isolationwe care, and we’re here to help.

04.01.2022 What is in my pregnancy folder? At your first appointment for pregnancy care at Adelaide Obstetrics your obstetrician will give you a pink folder. These folders can help you keep track of upcoming appointments and be used to store any forms or information we give you about your pregnancy. We also include useful information for newly pregnant women to refer to such as: Information about antenatal classes offered at Adelaide Obstetrics... A booking card explaining how to register at Ashford Hospital An appointment card Safe eating during pregnancy guidelines A Hypnotherapy and birthing flyer Prenatal testing information Immunisation and Pregnancy resource Physiotherapy and Pregnancy booklet Medicines in Pregnancy information card We hope you find these resources useful.
