15.01.2022 Many thanks to all our customers on Sunday at the Farmers market https://adelaidefarmersmarket.com.au Our first market of the season went surprisingly well. The restrictions put in place to minimise Covid19 spread where well implemented by the market/ Showground staff and the customers followed without fuss. We feel the extra space around the stalls gave many the confidence to come out and support local farmers and producers. We ourselves made changes to our normal market d...ay. The main one being unable to offer customers chance to taste our produce. Many people commented on memories of our sample roasted Chestnuts and hearty Chestnut based soups. We followed recommendations and offered customers EFTPOS for the first time. From zero knowledge of card transactions we quickly processed nearly a hundred tap a go purchases. We hope everyone stays safe over the Easter weekend break and can get out to see us at the farm shed on Saturday and at the market again on Sunday. Mick and Sally. See more

12.01.2022 They are here. Hazelnuts are available tomorrow at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market. Hills grown fresh Hazelnuts in shell or as shelled kernel. Also we have tasty Hazelnut Dukkah. Grab a snack and a bag for later, they will keep all year in shell in your pantry. Packed in 1kg or bulk 3kg bags.

09.01.2022 The weekend approaches. We are busy out in the orchard picking up fresh Chestnuts ready for Saturdays farm shed and Sundays Farmers market. We will have Easy peeling De Coppe Marone nuts this weekend. Our Hazelnuts in 3kg bags will be on offer at $50 a bag when 2 or more are bought together. We have our usual seasonal fruits including Lemons, Feijoas, Pomegranates, Quinces and tasty Figs along with dried Apple, Pear and Fig pieces.... Hope to see you all. See more

Our fresh fruit produce was still on the trees yesterday. Also a few recipe ideas for Hazelnuts, A versatile nut for cooking and baking as well as the crunchy snack.

We are concentrating our limited time and labour on picking the last of the chestnuts for the Showgrounds Farmers Market. We have good stock of Easy peel Marone Chestnuts and Hazelnuts.
