25.01.2022 Senior Players! Training starts this week. Tuesdays with Simon Bell and Thursdays with Ben Angel. Simon will be holding team trials at the end of the month. We also have some friendly matches coming up against Victor Harbour on the 20th and 28th of March. If you're keen for a game please contact Ben Angel.... See you out on the pitch.

21.01.2022 For those who did not receive the message that we are delaying our summer hockey one more week: Dear club members and friends Regrettably we are not in a position to resume summer hockey this Wednesday. However, we hope to have games on the 9th and 16th December and if possible a Christmas/end of the year celebration afterwards on the 16th. If games cannot do not go ahead over the summer the club is happy to arrange refunds for anyone who has paid upfront. ... Keep safe

20.01.2022 This weekend is the second to last minor round of seniors matches and the Division 5 men are playing back to back with finals hopefuls the Division 4 men at home at Anembo Park. If you would like to come out and cheer on the men's sides the games are at 12.15 and 2pm on Saturday. The juniors have three rounds left and the Under 9s, Under 13 girls and Under 13 boys will be playing at home on Sunday beginning at 8am. The young sides would love to see some senior members of the club standing alongside their parents and giving encouragement.

20.01.2022 To all members, If you haven't seen it yet, here is the message from Hockey SA about postponing the season. At this stage, Hockey SA is not cancelling the season, they will update us further. We will keep you up to date with any changes.

19.01.2022 Hi Hornets, The council has started work sealing the road in Anembo park. If you're heading to training you may have to park near the road and walk up to the pitch. 17.01.2022 The Under 9s had an encouraging start to the season on Sunday, beating Forestville 7-2. Andie Bonello (pictured) stepped up to the plate in her first ever game as Captain of the side but every player gave it their all on the field. The Under 9s will be playing on the grass at Grange on Sunday, but the Under 13 girls will be playing on our turf at Anembo park at 8.15am for those who would like to support the team.

16.01.2022 Hi Hornets, Update on the recent changes due to covid. We will be postponing the summer casual games for 2 weeks. Hopefully returning 8th of December. Keep posted for any further information.... See you soon, keep safe.

13.01.2022 Hi Hornets, Update on COVID-19 and trainings. The committee discussed our options last night. We have decided to cancel trainings for the next 2 weeks (until the 30th). We feel that this is the best course of action based on the current advice.... We will keep you up to date regarding any new information here and through the club email. 11.01.2022 Following up on Simon's earlier post, I have created a club page on free fitness recording app Strava. For those who already have the app please connect with the club so that we can support each other's fitness efforts. If you don't have the app I would suggest downloading it to record walks, runs, workouts etc. There is no requirement to do any particular amount of fitness with the app it is just a way to recognise each other's effort.

05.01.2022 Hi Hornets, Great news, we have started up training again. Coaches are starting to contact players and organise sessions that comply with current social distancing measures. This process may take a while, but they are working as fast as they can. Also, there are some tasks that we need to get done, to ensure our pitch is perfect for the start of training. Juniors at 11am Seniors at 1pm We'll have the pitch available to have a run and a hit, as well as skills sessions for the juniors. There will be a BBQ as well. Come and try or bring a friend to see if they like hockey. See you on the pitch.

01.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the clubs 40th birthday last night, it was great to see everyone. We hope you all had fun. The club would like to thank the following people for making the night possible: John Ziesing for emceeing and manning the bar....
