23.01.2022 Time flies when you're having fun!! Can you believe that Adelaide Mobile Bicycle Service turns 5 today. It's been 5 years today since I left Holdens behind and started what has turned out to be an amazing 'little bike business'. Turned out to be one of the best decisions i've ever made. A big thanks to all my fantastic customers and friends for your continued support.... I like to reflect on this little quote from Albert Einstein - "Life is like riding a bicycle. 23.01.2022 I spend my days working on some fantastic bikes all around Adelaide which would be no surprise to you good people. Today I was lucky enough to be invited to service a fleet of trikes at an Adelaide school for special needs students. These trikes give these kids the freedom to ride just like the rest of us. I was even lucky enough to work in their cubby house to shelter from the constant drizzle. And being 5 foot nothing tall I could test ride each one.

23.01.2022 Very privileged to meet Esteban Chaves from the Mitchelton-Scott cycling team tonight, I even lost a tyre changing competition to him. What a fantastic guy, so grouded and humble. A special thanks to Andy Murnane from MyRide Woodville for the invite.

23.01.2022 Bupa Challenge ride on Friday 20th January. I'll be stationed at the Birdwood 111km start and refreshment Station from 6:15am. Bryce will be at the 55km start and refreshment station in Mt Pleasant from 7:00am Swing by and say g'day and remember that the mechanical assistance is free of charge if you are registered for the ride (proof of entry required) but you will need to pay for parts.... Ride safely and enjoy!!

22.01.2022 Had to do some maintenance on this high end trishaw Ebike. They use it at the age care centre to take the elderly residents for a leisurely ride around the grounds. It was an amazing thing to ride.

14.01.2022 At 93km on the BUPA Challenge, somehow I lose all 5 chainring bolts and my chainrings fall off my bike. With my ride all but over, I walk the 7km into Mt Pleas...ant searching for a miracle. Waiting for me is Bryce (Adelaide Mobile Bicycle Service), one chainring bolt and a bunch of cable ties. Like a surgeon, he reattaches my chainrings to my bike - one chainring bolt and 8 cable ties. See next photo. See more

So if you're riding in the event I'll be at the main start in Glenelg to help you get those last minute mechanicals sorted and then sweeping slowly thru the field all the way to Victor Harbour providing mechanical support as I go. 07.01.2022 Adelaide Mobile Bicycle Service will have a bike maintenance stand set up at the Tour Willunga village on Sunday at the corner of Main Rd and High st. We'll be doing minor repairs all day so if you have an issue with your machine - pop in and we'll sort it out for a great price. The TDU riders will be passing this point 5 times during the race. Swing past and say g'day.

06.01.2022 This arrangement (one chainring bolt and 8 cable ties) saw me home over the next 75kms. I like it so much, I will be in no hurry to buy new chainring bolts. Thanks a million Bryce and Adelaide Mobile Bicycle Service.

Darren will be at the Myponga start #2 till 7:15am the moving to the Currency Creek rest stop till about 2pm and Bryce Wing will be at the Yankalilla rest stop from 6 till noon.
