13.01.2022 How Sahaja Yoga was born - 5th May, 50 years ago. On a lonely beach North of Mumbai, on 5th May 1970, a young Indian woman, who was to become a Nobel Prize nominee, and global leader, was moved by immense Compassion to create an unprecedented spiritual experience. Shri Mataji (.org) as She has become known, activated the 7th or Crown Chakra called Sahasrara, the subtle body’s Thousand Petal Lotus, and made it accessible for everybody to achieve their Union or Yoga experience,... in a spontaneous way. Sahaja Yoga Meditation was born. The subtle divine power for this awakening experience is called Kundalini (‘coiled’) and She is your Divine Mothering Power, nestled in the Sacrum bone at the base of your spine. When you express your pure desire for Her to awaken She rises up your spine and gives your awareness a subtle breakthrough at your Fontanel (‘fountain’) bone area, at the top of your head. This is the place ritually bathed by water in baptism ceremonies. Every great religion has reference to the Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit, Divine Mother, Sacred Flow, as well as reverence for the Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Mother Wisdom and nowadays the Power of Evolution. This week's session presented by a long term Sahaja Yoga Practitioner Gregory Hans Moeliker In tonight's session we will be doing a Footsoak so please be ready beforehand with the below setup: Footsoak Preparation: Start 5-10mins prior to meditation Materials Required: 1. A tub or bucket big enough for soaking your feet 2. Handful of Salt (Raw or Pool Salt is fine) 3. A Mug 4. Towel 5. An Icepack Preparation 1. Pour a bowl of lukewarm/cold water (this should be comfortable to you according to the weather in your local region) that’s deep enough to cover your feet up to your ankles. 2. Add handful of salt to the water. 3. Keep a towel and a mug of pure water (no salt added) by your side. 4. Light a candle and put in front of Shri Mataji's photograph Please be ready for the meditation by sitting in a quiet and comfortable position with 45 mins to spare for yourself.
