Read the full story behind the video "Never underestimate how important a good dive buddy and teammate is. Having someone that you trust and feel comfortable to dive with. This is raw footage of @emheathcote PB footballer trout, but what you don’t see is the chaotic pandemonium of events leading up to this.... Only moments before Emily shot a huge blue spot with her gun that tangled up in the reef meaning we had to dive down several times to free it and in the process, this solid footballer came out of nowhere to see what was going on. Within seconds of retrieving the blue spot and both short on breath, I passed my gun to Emily and she dived down to spear this beautiful footballer. The shot hit a little high allowing it to run into the reef and eventually tear off. Luckily I was right behind her watching the whole even unfold so I quickly stabbed it with the loose spear while holding the second shaft and other fish. I would hate to imagine how things could have played out differently if we weren’t there watching each other’s back. Always keep an eye on your dive buddies " See more
