25.01.2022 Lauren here I just want to share a little bit about what goes on behind the scenes at Adrians Vegie Patch. We all know Adrian works hard each day whether it is creating new gardens, keeping up maintenance of gardens or helping you create your own homegrown supply of veg. What you may not know is that before and after hours are spent researching, learning and growing. Adrian always has a supply of seedlings growing at home, he is mastering his own mix of soil to ensure the ...best quality seedlings, taking care of the compost to ensure great quality, trialling new ways of doing things etc. He learns how others do things and implements what he feels will work. He is also garden coordinator at SpringDale Community Garden which means tending to the garden, teaching others what to grow, when to grow it and how best to care for it. We have also been discussing other avenues for the business to grow and ways we can help ensure more people are getting high quality vegetable seedling and eating fresh food! (If you have any ideas of what would encourage you to grow your own food or make it easier please feel free to share) So as you can see what may just seem like a gardener going out everyday to work and clocking off once he gets home is the complete opposite. Now all that being said I hope you have an amazing weekend and if you are looking for something to do tomorrow pop down to the community garden between 10 and 2 (located behind Drysdale community church on Jetty rd) to see all the beautiful produce they have growing. *Pictures of some of seedlings Adrian currently has growing around our home See more

23.01.2022 FROG UPDATE!! Now is a good time to hear the Spotted Marsh Frog in the wetlands of the Reserve. Its call is like the sound of two rocks being hit together! This... frog is one of the first frogs to emerge from the cracks in the earth when the rains start. As Spring and Winter pass and other types of frogs appear, their sounds are drowned out by those raucous Growling Grass Frogs! See if you can identify one of our resident amphibians! See more

12.01.2022 Sunday, funday. Once a year market to support a local primary school. Say hi to my partner Lauren and her business partner Jess while your there at Lunar Lotus.

10.01.2022 I have been a Member of a local community garden since the start of the year. Here are some photos of our produce coming along nicely. Mixed Brassica in the furrows, Beetroot, delicious winter radish and some colourful wild Budgies foraging in the surrounding paddocks and so many other Veg and fruit trees at the garden. Its a good bit of work and everyone puts in so its great to harvest organic grown veggies and always have a supply at hand. From my own plot, i am enjoying ...mix lettuce, carrots, Silverbeet and sugarsnap peas with a continuous supply and enough to share in the middle of winter. These photos are a small part of it all. Happy Gardening See more
