25.01.2022 OCTOBER IS ADHD AWARENESS MONTH! It is extremely important to know that:- 1. It does exist and many people have ‘it’!... 2. A recent Deloittes Report has highlighted Australia ‘wastes/loses $A20 BILLION annually by not taking Whole of Life A.D.H.D. seriously! https://aadpa.com.au//Economic-Cost-of-ADHD-To-Australia.p 3. 5% of the population are thought to have !it’ - that’s ONE student in every average classroom! 4. ADHD is a neuro-developmental Disorder ( neurological ) and NOT a psychiatric disorder. It was incorrectly classified in 1970 when the Drugs and Poisons Unit of the State Health Dept gave Psychiatry SOLE permission to prescribe Psychostimulants (Dexamphetamine and Methylphenidate) for ADULTS with NARCOLEPSY and NOT ADULT ADHD- (as it was not thought to continue into ADULTHOOD)! More info tomorrow! David

22.01.2022 Very interesting. I have spent hrs researching this and CBD has some very positive results treating ADHD. Kindly note that Medical Cannibas Clinic Australia is still waiting on there cannibas license but there are other legal places to buy CBD. I will definitely be giving it a shot. PM or comment for names of CBD suppliers within Australia. Thanks, Clem https://www.medicalcannabisclinic.com.au/medicinal-canna//

16.01.2022 23K supporters 2k more to go ***Trigger warning*** "The moment I walked through that door, on some level, I knew I had lost. ... I was 14. A friend and I snuck out for what I thought would be a normal teenage party. She took me to a hotel room filled with boys and men. I noticed the absence of other girls. I was brutally gang-raped, drugged, and then raped some more. I was 14. I didn’t want to make any sudden movements. I was this scrawny little ballet girl and they were rough with me. I didn’t want to find out what would happen if I made them angry. The next day was agony. My friend’s mother called the police when she realised we’d snuck out. When the police found us the next day, they yelled at us. It added to my fear, it added to my trauma. In those circumstances, there was absolutely no way I was going to tell them what had happened. Monday at school, that ‘friend’ told everyone that I’d slept with nine guys in one night. That evening left me shattered- it changed the trajectory of my entire life. To this day it causes me insurmountable distress. The police dismissed the case without investigating. When I plucked up the courage to report this, Burwood police were useless. I knew one of the guys involved in the gang rape. I gave his name. The detective scoffed and told me to go away and google him, which’d tell me why it wasn’t worth investigating. He’s now in prison overseas on death row. I couldn’t stomach food for days when I found out. I want justice: this man knows the other gang-rapists out there, who are walking Australia’s streets scot-free. These men robbed me of my childhood, my innocence, my health. All without consent. The least the police can do is properly investigate, not dismiss the case after spending less than a day on it. Burwood police: re-open my case and investigate it thoroughly." https://www.change.org/p/i-was-gang-raped-at-14-and-police-

14.01.2022 Minister Hunt New PBS listings are always welcomed. HOWEVER, why NOT approve by Ministerial edict the TOTAL ADHD CADDRA DRUG FORMULARY be used in Australia immediately?... After all the RANZCP has given blanket authorisation to their membership to use the CADDRA ADHD Therapeutic Guidelines ( while our Australian Guidelines are promulgated) and by implication the use of the CADDRA Formulary! https://www.caddra.ca//uploads/Medication_Chart_English_CA After seeing the Deloitte’s Report into costs of treating [Adult] ADHD [ kindly funded by you, Minister Hunt via www.aadpa.com.au ], $A20 BILLION can be saved within Australia. https://aadpa.com.au//Economic-Cost-of-ADHD-To-Australia.p So, such an approval of the use of the complete CADDRA Formulary WITH THE ADMINISTRATIVE STROKE OF A PEN would lead to BILLIONS of dollars being saved in our economy! Now, that is good government with a decent socially progressive ethos! Have a Happy ADHD AWARENESS MONTH! [OCTOBER]. 07.01.2022 Tips for Organizing Your Morning When You Have ADHD Getting started in the morning can be difficult for anyone, but it can be especially challenging if you have ADHD. This can be a stressful and chaotic time, and a bad start can make the rest of the day difficult as well. The key is to develop a routine that will organize your morning and keep it as stress-free as possible. Below are some tips that experts recommend to help you and your family get your mornings under control.... Make a list Keep a checklist of things you need to do each morning. This will give you a handy reference for those essential things you need to do each morning to stay on track. Build in wake-up time Waking up is never easy, but it can be especially difficult for those with ADHD because they often have trouble sleeping. Take some of the pressure off your morning schedule by ensuring you have plenty of time to wake (and get your kids up, too). Prepare the night before Anything you can do the night before to ease the morning rush is a good idea. This includes things like laying out the clothes you will wear, and preparing your kids lunch, Avoid distractions Don’t get bogged down in distractions like morning TV or social media. These can turn into big delays that will add pressure to your morning schedule. Don’t give up on breakfast Breakfast is an easy task to skip when you feel rushed. Be creative about getting breakfast prepared so you and your kids can start the day with a healthy and nutritious meal, and have the right level of energy to face the day. Keep your kids organized Make sure your kids have a set of morning tasks they need to complete and reward them for getting them done. This will help you stay more focused and organized. Set an alarm for when you need to leave the house This simple device will help you make sure that you have accounted for the time it will take to get the kids to school and you to work. Keep your essentials by the front door This can include your car keys, briefcase or purse, wallet and mobile phone. This avoids the last minute searching for something when it is time to leave the house. Here are some additional resources you can check out to help with your ADHD morning routine: https://www.healthination.com/health/adhd-morning-routine https://fastbraiin.com/adhd-morning-routine/ https://www.additudemag.com/the-no-nag-never-late-morning-/ Having a morning routine to keep you organized and eliminate unnecessary stress can help the rest of the day go a lot better, for you and your family.
