23.01.2022 The levator Scapula muscle attachment is located at the Superior Angle of the Scapula and situated under the Trapezius and over the Scalene attachments. This muscle can produce a lot of problems when it comes to Shoulder and Neck pain and when worked on with alternating both stripping massage techniques to the muscle and holding the trigger points for approx 10 mins eventually the muscle relaxes and you can feel the tension release...you should feel a twitch response or wave like sensation under your thumb and or forarm/ elbow... the clients most often feel this too.... then check out the difference between the two sides before repeating on other side like the photo picture shown here of one of my clients...you should be able to see the side worked on as smooth and elongated and the other tight and bunched.

05.01.2022 http://stretchcoach.com/articles/iliopsoas-tendinitis/ If you have ever felt pain and or tightness, from your lower back and down through to the groin area, it is most likely that the psoas muscle is the problem. When lying face down ( prone) and leg is stretched back, and lying face up ( supine) legs bent and gently streched laterally you may feel restricted and inflexible, these are tell tales along with the discomfort in the restriction to groin area. If there is heat ...or inflammation and the area and hip or groun then the Immediate RICE method is neccesary after which a few hours or days strenghning excersises can be applied. This problen is caused by an excesdive overlaod and contraction to the Iliopsoas and hip muscles and it is an RSI injury. The following information will be helpful. The Psoas attached to 4 lumbar joints and travels through connecting with the Iliacus muscle then both travel as Iliopsoas and attach to the Lesser Trochantor of the Anterial Femur situated in the front of the upper thigh insertion and groin. Quite often there is a pelvic tilt present and this can also be corrected with stretching the shorter leg over the longer leg. The Iliopsoas can be streched and corrected from working on the front with mobilisation techniques and also by lying client face down and mobilising techniques with raising the thigh slightly and slowly rotating thigh.
