23.01.2022 ATO AUDIT The Australian Taxation Office suspected a plumbing contractor wasn't paying proper wages to his staff and sent an agent to investigate him. ATO AUDITOR: "I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them. ... Contractor: "Well, there's Clarence, he's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $1,000 a week plus free room and board. Then there's the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of rum and a dozen XXXX Gold every Saturday night so he can cope with life. 13.01.2022 Our concerns around above ground dispersal of treated effluent in relation to COVID-19 risks are growing. Recent research directly links infection risk to untreated or under-treated sewage released as water droplets via sprinklers or other above ground dispersal systems. Prof George Wells from Northwestern University in the US: ""....municipal wastewater treatment plants that include disinfection (as is the norm in the United States) are likely effective at inactivating SARS-...CoV-2. A greater concern from a public health standpoint is release of untreated or partially treated wastewater."
