24.01.2022 Sometimes with costume design it is all about the fit and style of the leotard, appropriately place sparkle, thoughtfully chosen material type and colour. With this costume my daughter was able to completely show the competition judges the execution of her movement lines as she preformed. The judge commented on the competition report that this costume was elegantly beautiful. The moody colour combination really suited the contemporary choreography and music.

08.01.2022 Sometimes less is more and this costume I created with the intention of simplicity of style. This is my daughter as a younger dancer, red is definitely her colour, the high neck helps to lengthen her body and the shape of the cut around the shoulders proportions smaller shoulders and accentuates the waistline. The competition judge loved the simple elegance of the this tutu.

07.01.2022 I have been doing my daughters costumes since she started dance at the age of 7 the tutu featured is one of my recent designs. I have also helped out with other costumes within the dance schools she has attended. Now she is dance teaching and 13 years later I am still creating costumes and giving them their extra sparkle. One thing I have always been passionate about is up cycling costumes as they are usually only worn once and I love the challenge of making new looks out of ...a used design. In the new year I will be suppling appliqués and embellishments for dancewear as I have found the supplies in Perth are very limited. The other services I am passionate about offering is a tutu recycling program where a dancer will have the opportunity to gain a $25 credit for their quality used tutu. This credit can then be used against their new chosen tutu and a custom design. I will be looking to offer new or previously loved options of tutu so all budgets will be catered for. I am also looking to offer a service where a dancer can have creative input into their chosen design and together we create their vision.
