04.01.2022 Just a quick word of advice if you are heading away on holidays for the Christmas break. Before leaving home and leaving appliances unattended and unused for a while, I have a few tips that could save a few headaches when you return home again. 1/ Turn off any water supply taps to your washing machine and dishwasher before heading away.... This could save you from returning home to a flooded house if a water supply hose were to burst with no-one there to turn the water supply off. 2/ Also unplug any unnecessary appliances from the power socket. This could save an appliance from being affected by a power surge or spike in the power supply from a nearby lightning strike if there are storms while you are away. Don't just turn the power point switch OFF....unplug the appliance completely. Safe Travels....
