25.01.2022 *** 3 IMPORTANT UPDATES FROM ADVANTAGE AQUATICS*** Hello everyone! Please see the following important updates 1) We expect an announcement from the NSW government today which will give us a green light to resume swimming!! YAY!!!... A detailed update about this will be provided once the official notification is given 2) To help us to plan for that fantastic day, today we are sending out a very short survey to all of our Term 1 swimming families, to gather your thoughts and intentions around returning to swimming and water safety lessons. Its a very short survey - just a handful of questions which will take just a couple of minutes of your time. We would really appreciate as many responses as possible! 3) Our competition winners and pictures will be posted here later today! Thank you and congratulations to all who entered! <3 So exciting!! 25.01.2022 Dear Parents; NSW Health has advised that the state’s sewage surveillance program has detected traces of COVID-19 in the sewerage system in the area. Please make sure you STOP and read the questions at the door; sign in using the QR codes, sanitise your hands and ensure your children also sanitise their hands, use the one way direction system and you follow the COVID directives at each pool.... If you or any of your family members are feeling unwell, please do not attend class for that week and take advantage of the make up token that will be issued to you in place of the lesson. See more

17.01.2022 **A VERY SPECIAL POST - FAREWELL <3 ** We meet all kinds of people in the course of our lives. People come, and people go, & we are all richer for the people who form the fabric of our lives. If we are truly lucky, every now and then, a really rare and special person will cross our paths, & alter our lives in so many wonderful ways. Every one of us, staff, students and families, know and love one of these very special people, the one and only Mr Shane!... Sadly for us, its time for us to say farewell and see you soon to Shane, who has made a sea change, and will now be calling the mid north coast, home. I cant begin to tell you, how much I love and admire this incredible educator and human being! Some people are just born for this profession, and Shane is truly one of those people. We have known each other and worked together for more than 10 years - he was my boss, Ive been his...but most importantly, we have been friends, & collaborators & he has been such an integral part of Advantage Aquatics from the beginning. For all of you, parents and swimmers alike, I know youve all had positive and joyful experiences of his teaching, and his incredible ability to reach and relate and teach. His love of children and swim education shines through in everything he does, and I know we are all going to miss him greatly. For once in my life, I truly dont have words to pay tribute & say thank you. So I invite you all, please, to leave a little comment & share your favourite Mr Shane story! Shane (Fred Barry!), we say good bye for now & see you soon! We wish you all the happiness and good fishing a man could hope for in this world, and we will never forget your contribution. Youve been a major part of our story, and you will always be a part of the Advantage family <3

12.01.2022 **IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL FAMILIES*** Hello everyone, In a last minute application to NSW Health, due to a series of unfortunate delays, The Melbourne Victory soccer team has been approved to undertake training for the restart of the A-league at the grounds of the Valentine Sports Park, under strict quarantine conditions, arriving on Saturday 11 July for a period of 14 days.... ***This means that all of the make up sessions that were scheduled for these holidays have to be cancelled and we will subsequently reissue you with those make up tokens*** This impacts our Covid safety plan for our Glenwood pool and has unfortunately delayed the our start of Term at Glenwood only, until week 2. Term at Glenwood will now commence on Monday 27th July. ALL other pools will re-commence as advised on Monday 20th July. We have sent an email to all families with more detailed information. We did not have any advance notice of this situation & sincerely apologise for the late change to our schedule. Thanks everyone Nicki

11.01.2022 Hi Everyone! We have SO many people trying to book for the Covid makeup sessions running these holidays! Thank you! Unfortunately many of you are missing that one crucial thing we currently have over 100 bookings that have been made into incorrect swim levels!!! Due to us having extremely limited staff, we really need you to make these bookings via the Portal. I have updated the How To guide and emailed it to every family who was enrolled at the date of close down.... I have also deleted the previous post and I am replacing it with the 3 how posters below. 08.01.2022 ***** A VERY SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY**** Looking for 5 pre school children available TOMORROW for approximately 90mins from 12pm to 1.30pm to help out our great friends at AUSTSWIM and be a part of a special photo shoot at Auburn pools. The amazing Jo Slaughter from PUDDLE PICS is the photographer so many of our swimmers already know her!... Shoot photos are for education/training materials, and your kids will be able to check out some of the fantastic new kids splash zones etc!! If you are free tomorrow and have a pre-schooler of this age group, particularly our Merrylands and Glenwood families who may live a little closer by...please comment asap below so I can put you in touch with Robyn at Austswim.
