Meet our guest presenter Steve Argue, PhD, is an associate professor of youth, family, and culture at Fuller Theological Seminary and the applied research strategist at the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI). He researches, speaks, and writes regularly on topics surrounding adolescence, emerging adulthood, faith, and spiritual struggle. He has coauthored the books: Growing With: Every Parent's Guide to Helping Teenagers and Young Adults Thrive in Their Faith, Family, and Future (Baker Books, 2019); and 18 Plus: Parenting Your Emerging Adults (Orange, 2018). Steve and his wife, Jen, live in Southern California and love being parents to Kara, Elise, and Lauren. At the end of a long, difficult and anxious season, they longed to gather and unite in worship together. And so our night of worship was birthed. ... Anchored in Isaiah 40, the overarching vision was one of Hope in Exile - Hope in our amazing Jesus who provides RELIEF for our suffering and sadness; who invites us to prepare our hearts, to RETURN to Him, and who promises to RESTORE, energise and give fresh strength to our weary souls. It was an incredible, Spirit-filled night that left us full to overflowing with His goodness. Huge shout out to our phenomenal team who made this night possible.
