21.01.2022 Toby Price's Dakar 2017 has ended several kilometres from Tupiza. The winner in 2016 fell heavily and has had to be airlifted by the medical team to hospital with a fractured thigh bone in his left leg. Whatever happens from now on, the Dakar will see a new overall winner crowned in the bike category. Heal soon Toby!

20.01.2022 Hello long lost friends, its been while since we have posted, but... we have had a lot going on in our lives, new family members have come along and that has taken a big chunk of our time, loss of a lot of sleep and then theres the steep learning curve new parents have to go through. We have still been getting out on the occasional ride, keeping our axe sharp. We are starting to prepare things currently so that once we pop our front wheels out the end of the covid 19 tunnel, we are ready to go. We will have new rides with new tracks ready to share with you all, we are also getting out ADV classes up and running again. Adventure Rides Australia will be back in full force once again. Can't wait to get out and look forward to seeing everyone again. ARA

20.01.2022 We got out yesterday on the small bore bikes, we rode some of the WWR5 tracks, looking at a few areas and how we can make the ride even better, it was really hot but we still had a great time. thanks to Ktm Rider for showing us a few new tracks.

Weather has been atrocious overnight here at HQ, loads of rain to just put them on edge for the start of the trip on their new bikes! 16.01.2022 2634kms, 5 days, 4 lads, 3 pucker up moments, 2 broken bike bits (not bad) and 1 big cat puts it on the ground (Matt ), not a bad effort. 15.01.2022 One of the lads 690 parked up @ Injune after this mornings run from Taroom. A good run. They pulled up into Chinchilla on nightfall. 500km day. Some access issues on the rabbit proof fence. A good find they say, a good connector if you're up for it. Not for everyone though. Saplings, saplings and a bit of sand. No coal seam gas signs on the gate ... while every other gate led to a gas rig. The lads have done pretty well to find dirt all the way here. Today was 'gap ...day' ... Wide open country for sure with plenty of switchbacks to slide in and power out. Tomorrow should be a good day. Trying to run for home tomorrow ... A big push. Bikes are holding up well. One of them was happy to find the split fuel hose weeping onto a hot exhaust (thankyou Dino, while he was stealing fuel of Phil at Crackow Pub ). We've proven heaps of connectors. Happy days. 13.01.2022 The ARA crew spent the weekend finalising a great run north to Mt Perry, checking pace notes, landmarks and loads of unreal tracks. We invited a few people along in the industry to give us some feedback before we put the ride up on our webpage and it's all really positive. We're excited! We clicked over close to 800kms over 2 days, leaving late morning both days and rolling in well before sundown, in time for some bike maintenance/TLC ready for day 2 and to watch those aw...esome storms roll in. We stayed at the Mt Perry Hotel where they received 50mm of much needed rain. Those folk who run the hotel there are fantastic...service is exceptional! We are more than happy to spend our $ there to support their little one street town. Mrs ARA ventured along on a 690 for this ride, matching it with the lads. For any female adventure riders out there, it's doable! ARA will be posting up a short video of this ride in the coming week, and keep your eyes on our website for upcoming details about this ride. 03.01.2022 Hi Guys and Girls, just a update on a post from a few weeks back where I was asking if anyone had used a Touratech rear shock in their KTM1190R. We were continually bending the rear shock bolt and wanted to know if the Touratech shock would solve the issue. Anyway long story short, David Burnett from Suspension Matters saved us having to spend $2500 per bike. Dave took the shock and after a few runs on the dyno and re-valving the shock, we now have no more hash bottoming or bent bolts. The bike also feels a lot sportier and no longer wallows making it a lot more fun to ride. Great work once again Dave, thanks it is much appreciated. We're now getting the forks and shock done on our second 1190.
