25.01.2022 I have made this style about a dozen times, mostly in knee length for a cute 1950s Madmen style. I've made it in cute floral cottons for summer frocks, and in luxe dupion silk for eveningwear. But I think the stripes are something special, no? Funny story, I had to cut the skirt twice as I screwed up and the stripes didn't align! And if they didn't align to make that perfect chevron, I'd have cried This dress is probably my most popular dress to date! It is a full circle, w...rap around dress, so a very versatile fit, even if you gain or lose weight! I love it so much so that I kept it myself! 10.01.2022 Velvet 1950's reproduction bolero made for my 2014 fashion show in Wellington NZ. Modelled by Skylar Leigh. Skylar is such a beautiful and professional model! I still use the images to this day, because she just looks so amazing in damn near every shot! The shoot was by a photographer named Brian Abbott and it was his first time shooting fashion. And didn't he nail it! #vintagestyle #dressmaker #model #1950sfashion #styleguide #designerclothing
