This Handstand Intensive covers everything from correct form, inversion pathways, aerial awareness, endurance, conditioning and correct partnering techniques. All are welcome however general body strength and some precious handstand training is recommended to get the most out of this Intensive. (Teens are welcome to join if they want a longer workshop than the kids 1 hr.) 02.01.2022 CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOP!!! Saturday 19th if September, 11:30-1:30pm. This 2 hr workshop is for ages 8-17, and skill levels. It will focus on building skills, techniques and self esteem.... The class will cover a variety of ground based circus skills, including handstands, acro, juggling, tumbling, hula hoops & more. This is a mixed level class. All levels are welcome and will be catered to, from complete beginners to intermediate & advanced. Investment: $40 Participants: Max. 20 (Pre-registration is essential.) About the Teachers Mitch (he/him) and Maisie (she/her) met each other in the regional city of Albury-Wodonga in 2011 at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, and have been friends ever since. Mitch specialised in silks and rope early on, diversifying into handstands, tumble and a bit of juggle on the side. He performed in the regional tour of Control Alt Delete, which travelled throughout NSW, Victoria and Queensland. Maisie focussed on static trapeze for most of her Fruities career, with a healthy side serving of club juggling and cube manipulation. She travelled with the regional tour of Circus Under My Bed to Tasmania, Victoria and NSW. Since then, they have both moved to Canberra to study and began working at Aerial sports in late 2019.
