22.01.2022 Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with Glen Morris from Smart Energy Labs and showing off the brand new CoolMax SRX MPPT at All Energy 2018. More information the SRX can be found on our website @ http://bit.ly/CoolMaxSRX.

21.01.2022 Stand Alone Solar Power System installed in 2012/13 to power a Gas Metering Station at Macedon Onshore Gas Plant in Karratha, Western Australian. 60 x Suntech STP190S PV Panels, 2 banks of 24 batteries each 48VDC and 10 x AERL COOLMAX SR Rack Mount Solar Charge Controllers were used in this system.

19.01.2022 Canadian company Evergreen Energy Technologies has put together a neat package combining their Skid-Mounted Hybrid Power Generator with an AERL CoolPro CP Controller for Cathodic Protection applications. Evergreen have been successfully showcasing this new system, called the SkHyGen / CoolPro Package, at various exhibitions in Canada including the 2014 International Pipeline Expo as seen in the first two images below. Evergreen have also been trialing the AERL CoolPro CP controller with their Mobile Hybrid Power Generator (MoHyGen) trailer unit with very positive results. The last image below shows this system deployed at a remote pipeline site. A link to Evergreen Energy Technologies website can be found here: http://www.evergreen-eti.com/products/coolpro-cathodic

18.01.2022 AERL's first Micro-Wind Turbine Controller prototype installed with a 3kW Kingspan Wind Turbine on French Island for field testing and the feedback has been excellent!

18.01.2022 The team at AERL have been working tirelessly to bring our Australian made MPPT lineup back. Today, the first next generation CoolMax SRX MPPT's left our production facility in Brisbane.

17.01.2022 AERL and MPower joined forces to develop a Solar Powered ICCP Cathodic Protection Sytem using the AERL CoolPro CP Controller and AERL CoolMax MPPT Solar Charge Controller. This image depicts AERL and MPower staff working a joint booth at an APIA Conference and Exhibition to promote this great system.

14.01.2022 The dispatch team at our Brisbane facility are in for a busy morning tomorrow. Many cups of coffee shall be consumed.

14.01.2022 Some of our latest SRX 45 290 solar charge controllers heading for a life of hard work on a remote rural site in Queensland! The SRX generation CoolMax controllers feature our most advanced thermal management system yet, making them well suited for operation in high ambient temperature environments.

11.01.2022 Another successful commercial solar installation project completed in Western Australia involving 28 x AERL COOLMAX SR Solar Charge Controllers installed into 7 x off-grid systems located on 7 x separate sites powering Radio Signal Communications Base Stations for the Railways. System specifications for each site are as follows: ARRAY: SunPower panels wired in 3 parallel strings of 4 x 327 Watt panels in series per controller (total of 12 x 327 W panels total per controller).... BATTERIES: 2 x parallel strings of Sonnenschein A602 960 AH cells, nominal voltage of 120V CONTROLLERS: 4 x AERL COOLMAX SR Charge Controllers per system with the following settings - PV Voltage OC on the input side 260V, Mp Volt 210V. Battery settings - Float Volt138, Bulk Volt 141, Blk Rst V 125.5, Blk Time 1hr. Average current each regulator is supplying to the battery load 23-25 Amp midday peak. INVERTER: Selectronic PS1 See more

09.01.2022 The RaceMax 600B MAXIMIZER is a high efficiency, boost only, common negative peak power point tracker specially designed for Solar Racing Cars. It employs a highly sophisticated tracking algorithm which regulates the PV array voltage to a fixed percentage of its open circuit voltage. AERL’s superior MPP tracking algorithm has been proven to be extremely efficient, robust and greatly immune to local extrema, resulting in power losses of less than 0.5% over the whole operating temperature range of a PV array. The AERL RaceMax MPPT is an ideal choice for solar car teams looking to get the most out of their PV array.

07.01.2022 CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL Read here a great testimony from another satisfied AERL customer: 05/03/16 Hi AERL, We have noticed the new AERL solar controller (that we had installed on Thurs 3rd March) has been able to draw more watts from the PV array than the Outback Flexmax 80A unit we had installed previously.... This morning after breakfast, very overcast and not much light, and it was pulling in over 200 watts. With the Outback, we would have only got possibly 100 watts. Needing to run the 1200 watt water pump this afternoon. Looked at the sky and "No way", as from experience one gets to know how much 'light' you need to run the pump. So, went in to check the controller anyway. It was about 350 watts and I was surprised to see the battery voltage was well over 57 V, constantly. To see if it will pull in more, i turn on a fluro, this usually makes it jump 50 or 60 watts, if there is adequate power coming from the PV. Well, it jumped up well over 1250 watts, which totally surprised me. Tested the water pump, and immediately went to check the controller. It was pulling in about 1450 watts. So, with the 1200 water pump, a computer, 2 freezers and fridge running inside, that was about correct. The controller was able to pull in the extra power to supply to those appliances. During the time the pump was running, the battery V was keeping well over 57 V This totally amazed us, because we are still talking about total overcast conditions, no sunlight 'breaks' at all, anywhere. This unit is AMAZING. We have NEVER been able to use the water pump under those conditions. I don't know how AERL has done it, but we are very pleased. This means we are not so limited to use a 1200 w water pump or other appliances, As long as we check first, and check again once the appliance is running. Now to "adjust" to the much better controller smile emoticon Kind regards, Peter Richards Gippsland, Victoria Australia See more
