21.01.2022 This is a great new product in #VictoriaFalls... a boat kitted out with beautiful photographic equipment that takes you cruising around the #ZambeziRiver whilst you sip on a drink and snap away at the abundant wildlife and bird life along the river. 360 degree rotating chairs with camera mounts so you can swivel, sip and snap away in any direction without anyone in your way.... Guided by local photographer Shaun Mcminn Photography, you are guaranteed to come away with some beautiful HD shots of the wild Zambezi River!

18.01.2022 #VicFallsIsNotDry - for those who were wondering :)

07.01.2022 Following on from our post last week, the Hills Of Africa and the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs Group travelled to Hwange this last weekend, spendin...g a total of 4 nights in Zimbabwe's largest National Park, and experiencing two nights each at Camp Hwange and The Hide, Zimbabwe Safari Lodge in an effort to showcase the diversity of terrain and wildlife in different areas of the park. Four days and their sightings were incredible: 2 different sightings of Cheetah, 3 different sightings of lions, leopard, bat-eared foxes, elephants (up close and personal), buffalo, roan antelope, sable, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, kudu, impala, steenbok, and an array of bird species and Raptors. They were treated to professionally guided walks at Camp Hwange to experience first hand the outstanding level of guiding that Zimbabwe has become renowned for, and even witnessed a cheetah attempt to take down a roan antelope! Camp Hwange annually host a "Children in the Wilderness" camp in partnership with Wilderness Safaris, accommodating on average 30 children in continued efforts to engage the youth in conservation and awareness of our wild habitats and wildlife and the requirement to protect our natural heritage for future generations. At both camps the guests were treated to surprise sundowners in beautiful locations, bush breakfasts and an insight into the role the flora and fauna they encountered play in the overall well-being of the ecosystem as a whole. At The Hide, Zimbabwe Safari Lodge, the group met with Steve Alexander from the Conservation Wildlife Fund (CWF) to learn about their collaborative efforts with Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe to protect the eastern boundary of the Park, their ongoing research of elephant bulls within the park, and to assist with carcass analysis, snare removals and the like. Claire Robbie from The Hide Community Trust gave the group an insight into the ongoing community development and sustainability initiatives taking place in the region including the women empowerment projects, community outreach, their waste disposal worm farm, their indigenous tree planting programme and their recycling project. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Camp Hwange and The Hide, Zimbabwe Safari Lodge teams for showcasing what this incredible National Park has to offer to visitors and the positive role tourism is playing with the surrounding communities and conservation. Once again special thanks go to @Sandy Salle for entrusting us to work with on this trip and for her continued commitment to and passion for Zimbabwe #AfricaConservationTravel #TimeToACT #OurHeritageToProtect #HillsOfAfrica #Hwange #Zimbabwe #ThisIsZimbabwe #CollaboratingForConservation #ConservationThroughTourism #SustainableCommunityDevelopment
