23.01.2022 The After School Dance Program will be attending the fair on the 30th! Coach Val & myself will be putting on an Acrodance Extravaganza!!! I can't wait for you to see this display! It should be a fun evening with my little friends Also the children are making me go on the Jee-Whizzer with them so that should be interesting.....!!!!

23.01.2022 A night to remember forever Our ASDP members really enjoyed their mid year showcase. This year all the children were rewarded with medals for their participation to the program. The support of our parents and families has been outstanding! ASDP have been successfully established for 2 years and our goal is to keep working hard to ensure that the children of our community near & far are given equal opportunity to grow and learn in after school activities that they know and love!!! The future is looking bright & I can't wait to see what's in store for ASDP and our gorgeous students as we keep growing and evolving together as a strong united team

20.01.2022 Hi guys, So Val and I have been talking and we have decided that this term we would like to run both dance & acro classes at the same time in the main hall on Wednesday afternoons. This will be a good opportunity to see how both Val and I work individually and it will give us an idea on the areas we can help to improve. It will also eliminate some parents having to wait around ... We'll be working in two separate sections. On the stage we'll be running Dance and on the Main floor we'll be running Acro. This will be something really cool and totally different So what does this mean for each group? It just means that Kindy will be starting 30 minutes later and finishing 30 mins later. For junior this means that they will do Acro first and dance last. The new schedule will be: Kindy Dance - 4.00-4.30 Kindy Acro - 4.30-5.00 Junior Acro - 4.00-4.30 Junior Dance - 4.30-5.00 Classes will run like this as of next Wednesday the 23rd until the end of term. Val and I believe that this will only make us stronger and more cohesive as an after school program and we look forward to working with your children together in term 4! 20.01.2022 We've had lots of fun in Dance/Acro classes in term 3 at After School Dance Program. Expression of movement & Progression of skills is our goal. Kindy Dance tried a bit of hip hop and learnt some break dancing moves! They really got into character ... 17.01.2022 Our July Acrodance Workshop went off with a bang! The children twirled and whirled their way through a fun and fast passed lesson where they each got to experience the best of both worlds ACRO & DANCE! A big thank you to everyone who came & supported us even if it was to buy a saussage! We had past, present and new students come in today which was super awesome! Thank you for coming & having some fun with us. Val & myself look forward to seeing you again next week for term 3! @ After School Dance Program

In my kindy dance classes I aim to develop music appreciation, spacial awareness, eye/hand & eye/foot coordination & rhythm as well as a wide range of other benefits. I encourage the children to use their own imaginations by offering them a variety of fun and playful ways to learn. The children begin to understand that the possibilities of movement are endless and fun to explore! ... The idea is that physical expression or solutions give young ones another way to handle the world while their verbal communication develops. We continue to updated and refine our kindy dance class to ensure the latest research in early childhood development and movement are transferred to our classes. 02.01.2022 I kimberley would like to take this opportunity to formally announce the closure of After School Dance Program 2019. Since the establishment of the Dance Program in 2017 I have been privileged to have taught dancing to the young children of the Risdon Vale Community. I put my heart and soul into creating this program so that I could provide our community with the opportunity to dance, to have a positive impact & promote health & well being within the community. With the Afte...r School Dance Program being presented two years in a row as a semi-finalist in the Rico Tasmanian, Community Business Awards, I can proudly say that I have done what I came to do. I have met some wonderful people through attending events & voulenteering within the community and I have loved the experience and knowledge it has given me to be an even better teacher than I was before. I would especially like to thank Ann Harrison and Aaron from The Risdon Vale Neighbourhood Center for the support you have given myself and to the Program over the last two years. I'm greatful for everything you have done from promtoting in the local newsletter to helping fundraise. This Program wouldn't have been successful if it wasn't for your ongoing support. I would also like to thank my Beautiful Mother Karen Freeman for your dedication to the program, for voulenteering your time to me and the program. For greeting everyone with a smile and being so caring and understanding of everyone involved. The program wouldn't have been the same without your love & support along the way. Also a very big thank you to my Aunty Joanne for always helping out with our fundraising events. To my beautiful friend and working partner Coach Val thank you for making this program what it is! The program has bloomed into a beautiful Flower since having you here with us and I couldn't have asked for a better Person to have on my team & by my side. And to my very loved students and families. I have been blessed to have met so many amazing kids. Your cheeky smiles, warm hugs & your love for dance is what fuels me to be the teacher I am today. Thank you for trusting me with your children. This isn't a sad goodbye but instead a celebration as we close a chapter on what was a truely amazing journey. But as the saying goes, as one door closes another shall open And it's finally time for me to spread my wings The After School Dance Program will finish up as of next Wednesday the 18th. The children involved will be doing a little dance display and I will be presenting them with Certificates from 4.00-4.30.
