If so then I would like to hear from you. If you prefer BAREFOOT trims, I do this too. Fitting steel, aluminium and plastic shoes for all disciplines. This horse was hot shod with very little trimming and preparation. You can see the pressure on the tendons of the leg, the rotation of the hoof inwards giving the appearance of pigeon toes. All it took to return this horse to being sound was to trim her correctly. In the picture on the left, you can see what the hoof was like compared to the hoof I have trimmed. The picture on the right shows both hooves trimmed and the pressure taken off the tendons. This young horse will make a full recovery.

Trim and front shoes $100 Full set of shoes $150 I also fit BLUE PEGASUS plastic shoes NO CHARGE FOR TRAVEL This week I came across this while shoeing a horse that I had not shod before. You can see the corn inflamed in the heels of the hoof. Corns are a form of bruising and like bruising they can progress into abscesses. In this case the corns were caused by an ill-fitting shoe. The shoe was putting excessive pressure on the heels due to long toe and the hoof over growing the shoe at the heel. Treatment is simple, lower the sole in the heels and the bars and relieve the pressure from the seat of the corn. It was also necessary to shorten the toe and balance the hoof.
