If you are unable to carry out cleaning tasks because of your disability, and your needs are considered reasonable and necessary, you may be able to pay for household cleaning from your NDIS funding.... This can include daily or regular essential household tasks such as:... Vacuuming and mopping floors, Dusting and wiping surfaces Kitchen cleaning: sinks, taps, benches, microwaves Bathroom cleaning: toilets, showers and baths. Does the NDIS cover home cleaning? If you have Core supports funding in your NDIS budget, there is flexibility for choosing supports that meet your individual needs, including assistance with household tasks. As a valued member of Agape Care Services, you will be responsible for providing support in a mentorship role to a young individual living a community setting. Each shift is individualised to the participants needs and is based around their interests and hobbies. This can include activities such as: AFL, basketball, shopping, cooking and meal preparation. A strong emphasis will be on ensuring life skills are developed, working towards a future of supported independent living. About you... We are looking for individuals that not only have experience in supporting people living with a disability, but also for people who have experience in working with youth or people with challenging behaviours. You will hold a: -Current Drivers Licence -Police Clearance, -First Aid and, -Working with Childrens Check. The Helpline can help families, carers, support workers and services, too.... The Disability Information Helpline is free, private and fact-checked. You can contact the Helpline in the following ways: Phone (free call): 1800 643 787 If you are deaf, or have a hearing or speech impairment, you can also call the National Relay Service on 133 677. The Helpline is available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm (AEST) and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 7pm (AEST). Its not available on national public holidays. When you call the Helpline, you will speak to a person who will: Listen carefully to you. Use their connections to find things out, check the facts, and get information for you. Transfer you to services that can help you. Transfer you to a phone counsellor for emotional support, if you would like. Give you clear and accessible information. The Disability Information Helpline is funded by the Australian Goverment.
