05.01.2022 The Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit (AGBU) has developed and published the methodology for creating indexes across breeds in beef cattle. This system will be the under-pinning agent for the full value of the results from the NSW DPI Southern Multibreed and the QDAFF Repronomics programs to reach industry and allow selection for beef profitability irrespective of breed. Both research programs are underpinned by the support provided by AGBU concerning BREEDPLAN design.
