Modeling with plasticine is not only great for those all important fine motor skills, it also supports concentration, communication, inspires creative thinking and boosts mood. 23.01.2022 Right from birth we learn communication and social awareness by studying faces. So having to wear masks and see masks can make us and perhaps our children feel a little uncomfortable. But there are ways to make masks fun... LIke making masks together, or letting your children choose their own masks ,and letting them help wash their mask with foamy fun water after each adventure. Or perhaps its with a game of peek-a-boo! 23.01.2022 Find a nice patch of grass, beach or river bank with a good view of the sky. If you arent able to leave the house, create a little campsite by an open window. Encourage children to look up at the sky while sitting or lying down. Share what you see. Are there any creatures in the clouds? Do any clouds look like animals? Can you see "boats" or "trains", or a passing aeroplane? Anything is possible. You may see different things in the same cloud and this is exciting! Is there... perhaps a story in the clouds? Are they changing? Where are they moving?Why are they moving? Its not necessarily something we think about prioritising for ourselves or our own wellbeing. Perhaps we have become too competitive in comparing ourselves with others.
