24.01.2022 Taking a walk on a beautiful spring afternoon and watching the amazing maternal instinct of a cow nurturing her calf is something one never tires of

24.01.2022 The Wiltshire Zephyr family, all sired by Eylwarra Sands Jasper had a successful outing at the Royal Launceston Show last week. The Sires Progeny Pair RCW N12 and RCW N20 came 3rd in the interbreed class, as did the cow with calf at foot RCW M21. Junior champion heifer N20 places 4th in the interbreed classes. Thanks again Connor for your hard work and dedication in presenting the cattle so well.

23.01.2022 Spring calving is finally underway. Wiltshire Zephr N12 who was apart of last years successful show team is the first to calve and it’s a girl sired by Wiltshire Monarch. Really pleased to have another heifer to continue this top female line

23.01.2022 Wiltshire hosted Tasmanian University Students again today. Rob spoke to them about the beef industry and running a stud stock operation. We took every opportunity to speak to the students about the benefits of Murray Greys and why we breed them

22.01.2022 Is there any better way to spend a warm sunny winter's afternoon?

21.01.2022 Finally...the last calf for the season arrived this morning, a silver bull calf sired by Carlinga Linebacker. If this little guy shapes up as well as the earlier born Linebacker calves he will definitely have stud sire appeal. Linebacker has certainly done all we were hoping for at Wiltshire

19.01.2022 This year's AI program complete! Looking forward to 9 months time, excited by this years sire selection of Onward Eddison and Tullibardine Jeopardy

18.01.2022 Just put the big fella out with the girls. Carlinga Linebacker gets to run with all the mature cows at Wiltshire this year due to us being over the moon with the quality of his drop of calves we now have on the ground. We’ve even made the decision not to AI for the first year in many because of the potential of our Linebacker sired progeny

17.01.2022 The first spring show in Tassie is done and dusted with a good number of Murray Grey cattle being exhibited. Wiltshire exhibited a team of three heifers. We had a great day bringing home Junior and Grand Champion Female Ribbons. Thanks Annika for your appreciation of our Heifer Wiltshire Zephr M21 sired by Eylwarra Sands Jasper

16.01.2022 Congratulations Bek and Richard from Fire-Ro Park Murray Greys for winning Interbreed Senior Champion Cow with Wiltshire Rose-A-Lee purchased at the Island State Sale earlier this year

16.01.2022 After 31 years of breeding Murray grey cattle, the time has come for us to move into the next chapter of our lives without cows. We have really enjoyed our time as breeders over past years, not just because of the great cattle Murray greys are but also because of the amazing people we have met along the way and the memories we have to treasure.

15.01.2022 A beautiful spring day to put the joining sires, Carlinga Linebacker and Eylwarrra Sands Jasper, out with the girls

15.01.2022 Part way into the spring calving season and both C. Linebacker and ES. Jasper have sired a hat trick of grey bull calves, that we are extremely happy with...bring on the heifers or at least mix it up with a few silvers though!!

10.01.2022 Great way to kick off the show season for 2019 taking out Grand champion interbreed bull with Wiltshire Pioneer, sired by Wiltshire Monarch. To top off the day we also came away with interbreed sire’s progeny, junior pair and group of 3. A big thank you to Connor Black, and Kaitlyn and Shaun from Cloverside Murray Greys for preparing and parading our show team

08.01.2022 Wiltshire cattle all settled for the first show of the season thanks to Connor Black. Connor started working with us last year and we are so proud of how much he has grown in knowledge and confidence since then and of the things he has achieved in the last year. We wish you all the best In both junior handler and junior judging on Saturday Connor

06.01.2022 The Zephr family line is proving to be one of the strongest at Wiltshire, confirmed at Burnie show with RCW N12 winning Junior Champion and RCW M21 winning Senior Champion and going on to become Grand Champion. The two females are full sisters sired by Eylwarra Sands Jasper. RCW M21 was grand champion female at Burnie Show last year and again this year at 24 months with calf at foot. It was a ‘Zephyrs’ day out but Wiltshire Jose came not far behind with Reserve Junior Champion. Thanks so much Connor for preparing and handling the heifers, and also to Kaitlyn for leading on the day, an awesome job guys

04.01.2022 Despite the wild weather conditions we are experiencing the first calf for the year arrived safe and sound, sired by Carlinga Linebacker. Excited by the potential of Linebackers calves, we're looking forward to whats to come

03.01.2022 Today the last of the Wiltshire cattle we had for sale left the property. While all the females had been sold last year, several had stayed on to run with a Wiltshire sire before moving to their new homes. Now it’s just the three girls left that we’ve decided to keep to chew the grass from the 5acres we have around our home and Pioneer, the young sire that was a part of our show team last year. Because of our attachment to this guy we’ve decided to keep him instead of his sir...e. This young sire has plenty of appeal and figures to match, we’re very excited to see what he will produce in the future. So with that being said the Wiltshire name will carry on, we’ve made the decision to keep our three girls registered and not run them as commercials after all as we believe Pioneer will breed progeny that is well worth to be sold as stud stock. We take this opportunity to congratulate all those who purchased Wiltshire cattle and wish them every success in the future, and thank all those who made enquiries about our cattle and those who wished us well See more

02.01.2022 Wiltshire welcomes Connor Black to the team. We'd like to thank Connor for his dedication, hard work and skill in helping prepare and exhibit our team of three heifers at the Burnie Show. We had a great show, with Connor taking out first place in his handler class. Congratulations CJ!

02.01.2022 Over the weekend the Tasmanian Murray Grey Youth members held a 'cattle show prep day' where the basics of handling, breaking, animal nutrition and fitting work...shops were demonstrated. A huge thank you to Heath and Sam Dobson, Rob Wilson and Damon England for sharing your tricks of the trade! If you are a Tasmanian youth member looking to be more active in the Murray Grey Youth, don't hesitate to contact Tas State Rep, Connor Black or flick us a message!

02.01.2022 The day has arrived when we farewell ES Jasper from the property. Sons of ES Falcon are breeding the house down, Jasper being no exception. We have retained all Jasper's daughters within the herd, with another spring calf drop still to come. Although we are sad to see this big fella go, we wish Tassie stud breeders every success with their future breeding program, believing this outstanding stud sire will continue to breed progeny of excellent quality.
