25.01.2022 Great podcast series if you’re not subscribed already. One of my pet peeve buzz words is impulse control because it’s often used incorrectly, and as an excuse. A great conversation with Sarah Stremming on the topic.

02.01.2022 Flipping Disc Dog Today I discovered my girl Skye can do backflips when trying to catch discs. It was unintentional but really interesting to see what she loves to to with her body. I am always impressed by her agility and flexibility and one question ran through my mind. My biggest question was not - is she capable of doing that on cue, Rather... Is she fit enough to do that and not hurt herself?. Being a fitness and conditioning expert, I had to unpack that thought, and there’s a lot more coming on that. For that moment, I was more concerned for her health and fitness to be able to continue playing Frisbee at that high level of gymnastic ability. Skye did the manoeuvres herself, so my assumption is that she feels strong and capable enough to manage her body for this. My next thoughts were around adjusting her current fitness and plyometric programs to support her love of gymnastic jumping to include Frisbee specific conditioning exercises. Challenge accepted Working with my dogs gives me so much opportunity to build better programs and recovery treatments that support the individual styles and talents of each of my own dogs, and all of the dogs I work with. I can design a tailored program to get the most out of conditioning for your dog. Message me today to book a session! photocredit: Ben Holmes Photography https://benholmesphotography.shootproof.com/
