20.01.2022 It's immunisation morning at the clinic. These babies are voting yes to preventative health in their village. And the Mummas are excited! They wanted me to take this photo because they were so thankful to Australia for supporting their immunisation program Global Concern

03.01.2022 Environmental degradation is a serious issue in #Malawi. Most Malawians rely on subsistence farming, but its single major natural resource agricultural land ... is under severe pressure from rapid population growth. The country is also prone to natural disasters of both extremes from droughts to floods. In partnership with the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (#ANCP), Global Concern has set up a food security project in northern Malawi, so its people gain the necessary skills and equipment to be self-sufficient. The project trains the local village people to farm using modern farming techniques and irrigation methods. As part of the project, Mr Msambala was identified as a vulnerable farmer. Along with maize and fertiliser, he received training in conservation farming methods and climate change resilience technologies. Over four years, this project has seen yields per hectare more than double (from 817kg to 1,911kg of maize) and cases of malnutrition drop by 88 per cent. 01.01.2022 In the village of Mbalangwe in #Zambia, many men and women struggle to earn enough money to provide for their families. That’s why Global Concern, with the supp...ort of the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (#ANCP), set up Income Generation Groups. Group members would not normally qualify for loans from conventional financial institutions. As well as access to capital, they gain financial and vocational skills enhancing their capacity to generate income.
