07.01.2022 With recent rainfall across the region, I will delay further pool testing until Friday 24th March to let the worst of this pass over and hopefully settle. If y...ou wish to have any pool testing, water balancing or chemicals, please let me know earliest, so I can plan to be most efficient once the rains ease up. I suggest most pools by now would have sufficient chemical dilution if you have anywhere near as much rain as I have, to require prompt attention before you end up with a green pool once the sun comes out. 05.01.2022 Pool owners. With summer approaching, and with that high rainfall events are likely. I would like to give all pool owners notice to check their insurance covers damage to pools from water pressuring under the pool, and pushing the shell out of the ground. This can be caused by several factors to numerous to go into here. I have inspected 3 pools this year that sustained damage from the high rainfall associated with cyclone Debbie. One insurance company is covering the repla...cement, another just wants a patch put on the crack and fix the concrete (Not achievable), and the 3rd has denied the claim as not being covered. Replacing a popped pool is very expensive, and you should check that you are actually covered. All the pools below were popped out to various degrees. One suffered permanent deforming, and the other 2 have cracks and damage to surrounding concrete. All these are not repairable, and need to be completely replaced along with new stabilised material and concrete apron.
