22.01.2022 Matt has made a few appearances on this page. Just 10 years old and loves training in the gym. His form is improving and his weight is increasing! He bench pressed a nice 22.5kg this morning!! Way to go Matt!

22.01.2022 Rugby season has finished, so I started a new program in the gym today; a DUP (daily undulating periodisation) program, easing back into it with the weights. The DUP program is one of my favourites, it allows me to work the 3 main lifts, 3 times a week each by rotating between strength, power and hypertrophy with each lift. My current goals are: 1. Increase strength 2. Retain and build muscle mass 3. Drop body fat... Today's workout was 5x5 130kg snatch grip deadlifts 6x3 110kg slingshot bench 4x8 80kg front squats and finished off with chins and roll outs

21.01.2022 We had our Christmas Bootcamp this morning, cheers to everyone that came!! We drew the names for the "Loyalty Giveaway". Where from Monday 30 November to now, each time a client attended a session their name went in the draw to win their next session free. Congratulations to our winners: Mel Ryan Joanna Masterson... 21.01.2022 Four rep PB at 100kg today for Mel!! Not only is she getting stronger, but in the past 5 weeks she has been more consistent with her food tracking and has lost 3 kgs. She is setting herself up to finish the year off strong!! ... Awesome effort Mel



20.01.2022 Bianca's Postpartum Journey This is a comparison photo of the last 8 weeks, 5 weeks post partum to now 13 weeks. I'd already mentioned in a previous post that she's been flexible dieting and easing back into weights training.... In the last 8 weeks she's down over 10cm around her waist and 6cm off her hips. She's lost 6kg and is now close to her pre pregnancy weight. Although the photo doesn't show it , she is happy with the results. Everyone's post partum journey is different and you cannot compare one to another. This post is to share Bianca's results after 8 weeks of 8 hard work. Great job!

20.01.2022 Tess had her test day yesterday for bench and deadlift. She is competing in her first powerlifting comp in just under 4 weeks at Cyclone Training Centre. She got a solid 50kg bench and pulled a strong 122.5kg deadlift.

18.01.2022 PREGNANT WOMEN & THOSE WHO HAVE RECENTLY GIVEN BIRTH I recently completed the 'Pre and Post Natal Training' course to further my knowledge on safe exercises during pregnancy and the changes that occurs for women during pregnancy and the post natal period. My wife is currently pregnant and she wanted to keep fit throughout her pregnancy, so it was important for me to have the knowledge to support her in this.... I am now offering my services to pregnant women and those who have given birth, feel free to message me if you would like further information

18.01.2022 MALLANGANEE BOOT CAMPS ARE BACK ON Boot Camps have started back up at Mallanagee! Wednesdays at 5:00pm... And either Thursday or Friday mornings at 9:30am (confirmed weekly ) If you're wanting to join in, I'll be out there today at 9:30am! Well done to last nights crew for putting in the work!!

18.01.2022 We purchased a new 10kg barbell for the Gym and Matt couldn't wait to try it out. With the new bar, he's able to now learn barbell shoulder press and also bench press which he's pretty stoked about! Matt is just 10 years old and is already showing a keen interest in the gym



17.01.2022 MOTHER & SON WORKOUT A good training session with Christie and Matt this morning. Christie did a rest pause set of front squats. 5, 3 and 2 reps with a 15 second break inbetween.... Matt did 5x5 of box squats.

17.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Unfortunately, as a result of the Government's latest restrictions, I will temporarily be unable to conduct personal training sessions or boot camps. 14.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE With numbers increasing and restrictions being implemented again, it is important we all do our part to reduce the spread. We are currently taking the following steps:... I remind everyone to please stay home if you are unwell, been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case, or have to been any hotspot areas in the last 14 days. Sanitiser is located at the entrance of the studio, all clients are reminded to sanitise their hands before entering. All equipment will continue to be wiped down after each individual use. To reduce gatherings and interactions, I ask you to please wait in your car/outside until the previous client/s have left. As from Saturday 1/8, I will be formally recording details of all clients, including your name and email/phone number. This is to support contact tracing in the event we need to. Clients are encouraged to download the 'CovidSafe' app. It is a tool used to to help identify people exposed to Covid-19. Thank you all for your support, we'll get through this together!! 06.01.2022 Mel got an equal PB deadlift tonight, 110kg. This moved a lot smoother, good form and was a lot more comfortable than her previous 110kg lift. Mel also got a 40kg bench press PB earlier in the week!!... We haven't been training as heavy in the past few training blocks. We reduced our training max. We found the approach of 'less is more' paid off. Good stuff Mel

05.01.2022 PREGNANCY AND POST PARTUM My wife Bianca, trying out the new lifting platform we received today. She's 10 weeks post partum today, we focused on her nutrition first, until she received clearance from her Doctor to start training again at 6 weeks. We started her back lightly, initially with bodyweight exercises before increasing to light weights as she felt comfortable.... We're ensuring she doesn't rush back into it and listens to her body as the ligaments and muscles relax during pregnancy and childbirth. She has been tracking the food she eats and enjoying flexible dieting (which includes a paddlepop every night ). We have taken her breastfeeding into account when calculating her calorie intake to ensure she maintains the correct energy balance and to not effect her milk supply. If you're looking to get back into shape and feel healthy, but don't know where to start, send me a message and we can line up an intro session and consultation.

01.01.2022 Last night I deadlifted 232.5kg as part of my test week. This is a new PB! I'm pretty happy with how it moved. Wednesday night I got 210kg squat and 130kg bench, they were the best these numbers have felt.... I will max out in a few more weeks, hoping to get some more numbers on my lifts!!
