17.01.2022 Artie would have to be one of the quirkiest little souls I’ve met, and certainly not the bravest! But I’ve taken him slowly and I’m hopeful that patience is starting to be rewarded after a particularly confident schooling session this morning

I’d planned to take him on the 17th of January but broke my neck the day before He took it all in... his stride and seemed to really enjoy himself. He’s turning out to be a very sweet, fun pony. 11.01.2022 Artie got busy redeeming himself after his little faux pas earlier in the year today at SREC, thanks to the club for a great day He was just a gem all day, an...d gave me the calmest and most obedient test he’s done to date for a PB 72.86% and 3rd place in the 2A Then a lovely quiet, educational round in the jumping with lots of scary fill, didn’t bat an eyelid Thank you so much to Elyssa for being an awesome groom at your first comp, you did a super job plaiting, looking after Artie’s needs all day, helping me learn his test and much more! 07.01.2022 Darcy and Cora both had a great morning at SREC, the first outing to a competition for both of them. Thanks to the club for putting on another fun and relaxed d...ay! Darcy improves every time he goes out, he stood quietly tied to the float and although tension showed through in his test at times he had some nice moments for 61% My beautiful green baby Cora behaved impeccably all day, and gave me a nice calm test for a respectable 65% and 2nd place I’m excited for her future, just love her Thanks to Vanessa Burton - Equiflexions Massage and Body Solutions for having the ponies feeling wonderful I’m a huge fan of Nutri-calm, available from Ron Major Aussie Equine Supplys. It’s a great training aid for young, tense or nervous horses, especially useful for taking that nervous edge off them at competition to help them stay relaxed and focused and have a pleasant experience

Thank you to Lachie for your help strapping, Ella and Elyssa for having everything so organised for the weekend, Mum Julie for taking care of everything at home and Charlotte for your help with all my ponies, was great to see you back at it too! 05.01.2022 We had a fantastic weekend at FTP ODE with two clever ponies in the EVA80a, thanks so much to the committee, event sponsors and class sponsor Ord Minnett! Artie... was super at his first start for the year, behaving impeccably all weekend and leading the class after dressage, adding only a rail and 1 second of time XC to his score to take 3rd place Libby was her usual consistent self, putting in a nice test to be 4th after dressage, only adding 1 second of XC time to her score and got the chocolates! As always teamwork makes the dream work... thanks so much to Lachie and Elyssa for being super grooms all weekend, Elyssa did an amazing job grooming at her first event, and groomed 2 place getters, woohoo Thanks Mum for looking after Jackson and everyone at home, we really appreciate it, makes it so much easier knowing home is in good hands, coach Charlotte Price, and my sponsor Vanessa Burton - Equiflexions Massage and Body Solutions, the ponies were in great form this weekend, and their regular treatments are a big part of that It was also fantastic to have you there watching Libby and Artie do the team proud on XC today!

05.01.2022 Wow, another super weekend at the QI3DE! Huge thanks to Charlotte and team TEG, major event sponsors Steelworks Construction and all other sponsors, officials a...nd volunteers for putting on a fantastic event! After a less than ideal dressage warm up due to a little mishap during lunging in which his bridle was broken, Artie gave me a calm and obedient test for a respectable 67.5%. Thank you so much to Sarah Goodwin for the loan of a bridle to get the job done He gave me quite the quirky ride XC, as only Artie can, although confident and honest at all the fences, jumped clear and on time. He showjumped his quietest, most rideable round to date, just one special Artie moment cost him a rail, to finish 6th overall Thank you so much to my support crew Vanessa Burton - Equiflexions Massage and Body Solutions, Ron Major for supplying great products that work and have the ponies looking and performing super, Lachie, Mum Julie Champion for doing a super job taking care of Jackson and all the ponies at home, Elyssa, Ella Macdonald and Shaneen Elliott, was great to see you there, thanks for your support always and for coming along, I appreciate it and love when you’re a part of it And how about Shaneen winning the raffle to top it all off!!! #equiflexions #aussieequinesupplys
