12.01.2022 Jobkeeper Update - Important announcement today regarding the extension of Jobkeeper to March 2021. From 28 September 2020, eligibility for the JobKeeper Payment will depend on meeting an additional downturn test each quarter and will based on actual turnover in the relevant periods. Additionally the payment will be stepped down and paid at two rates.... - From 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021, the payment rate will be $1,200 per fortnight for employees working over 20 hours a week ($750 for employees working less than 20 hours a week). - From 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021, the payment rate will be $1,000 per fortnight for employees working over 20 hours a week ($650 for employees working less than 20 hours a week). 07.01.2022 Extension of time to enrol for the JobKeeper scheme The Australian Commissioner of Taxation has extended the time to enrol for the initial JobKeeper periods, from 30 April 2020 until 31 May 2020. If you enrol by 31 May you will still be able to claim for the fortnights in April and May, provided you meet all the eligibility requirements for each of those fortnights. This includes having paid your employees by the appropriate date for each fortnight.... For the first two fortnights (30 March 12 April, 13 April 26 April), the ATO will accept the minimum $1,500 payment for each fortnight has been paid by you even if it has been paid late, provided it is paid by you by the 8th May 2020 If you need any assistance applying for the JobKeeper please do not hesitate to contact our office.
