24.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone, Congratulations to everyone who danced at the WA Open on the weekend. It was a fabulous event, well done to the organising committee. Don’t forget there is still one more Dancesport event to go before the end of the year, our Rising Star Championships at Star Ballroom on Sunday 15th November. 22.01.2022 On behalf of the AID Executive Committee, I would like to send out a massive thank you to everyone who came along today, to the Blue Riband Championship to make it a great success! The display of dancing was fabulous. To Glenn & Sandra Skilbeck of Star Ballroom, a big thank you to you and your team for preparing your studio and keeping the required hygiene practices foremost in everyone’s mind. Special mention must go to Meghan Philpott for amazing stamina in partnering in a...lmost every event in the morning session. Well done Meghan We have to note the marathon effort of Jim Watmore & Helen Gee for twice dancing 2 x 5 dance events in row! You showed the younger competitors how it’s done. I hope you can all keep up your dancing over the coming weeks and we hope to see you at our Annual Championship in July. Good Luck, Stay healthy and keep dancing Xx

22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, The AID Executive Committee along with Star Ballroom wish to confirm that Sunday's Blue Riband Championship will be going ahead as scheduled. All relevant precautions have been taken by Star Ballroom and hand sanitiser will be available on the day as required. ... It has been 19 years since Professional events have been run at the Annual DanceSport Championship and we will have 4 fabulous couples competing for cash prizes. 12.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone, Wow...what a day of dancing! On behalf of the Executive Committee I would like to send out a massive thank you to everyone that came and supported our event today. We managed to hold the last event before lockdown and were pleased to present the first one in Australia out of lockdown; which was a tribute to everyone here in WA. ... From the recreational and student competitors in the morning session, to the afternoon graded amateur session, it was great to see so many competitors and their supporters coming along. Even though we had to clear and clean the ballroom to allow for Health Department Covid-19 guidelines, we managed to finish the day close to our predicted time. We also had 2 spectacular Professional events on display and was wonderful to be able to include these events again. We look forward to seeing you all at our next event in November. 04.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone The AID Executive Committee is pleased to announce we will be running the Annual DanceSport Championship with a revised date of 26th July and an amended screed to cater for as many people as possible. The venue will still be the Star Ballroom and even with Phase 3 restrictions, we need to be aware of the number of patrons in the venue therefore, we have split the day into 2 sections along with 2 pricings one for a half day entry and one for a full day.... The venue will be vacated at the end of the morning session to allow for cleaning in accordance with Government guidelines after which patrons will be allowed to enter for the afternoon session. Please note we will still need to clear the ballroom after the morning session to allow us to clean the premises as per COVID-19 Health Department guidelines . We will endeavour to reopen by 12.30pm to allow the afternoon program to commence at 1pm. Also just a reminder if you are unwell on the day, please stay home. Thank you
