21.01.2022 Congratulations to Order of Australia Medal (OAM) recipient Geena Luckin. It is with great pride that we congratulate our President Mrs Geena Luckin, on being recognised for her outstanding achievement for service to the community, in the Queens Birthday 2020 Honours List. Geena has been involved with Meals on Wheels since 1997, serving on the committee for 20 of those years!! ... She has also been president of Counterpoint Vocal Ensemble, volunteers with Bracken Ridge Baptist Church, cooking meals for those in need and serving on the Women’s Ministry & Mission Support Teams, and has been sewing costumes for the Brisbane Junior Theatre for many years. We are privileged & honoured to have her working in our organisation, and on behalf of the Committee and Staff we extend our thanks and congratulations ..... this honour is so richly deserved. She joined us a few weeks ago and has already won everyone’s heart - with both her lovely nature as well as her great cooking!! Many of you would know Louise as she and her husband ran the local restaurant Piccolo when it was in Alexander Parade. We are so happy to have you join our family Louise - a huge welcome!!
