15.01.2022 What a year! In summary we: switched to online therapy due to Covid and managed to support all our families for 10 weeks remotely re opened all our premises and expanded all our teams due to our waitlists helped a record number of families provided a record number of appts... record high scores of team happiness strengthened all our clinical and admin systems It’s safe to say this year was like no other! We end the year more appreciated of the WA life than ever before and we have managed to end the year stronger than we started. We now have a clinical and admin team of 38 and have more team and premises expansions underway for 2021. Thank you to all our wonderful and supportive families through the past year, we appreciate each and every one of you and are so grateful to be able to help your children achieve their therapy goals. 13.01.2022 A big welcome to new Joondalup school visiting Occupational Therapist Amy G! Amy graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Amy is enthusiastic about helping people, especially children and those with disabilities with her goal being to leave a positive impact on the lives and development of the children and families she meets. Amy enjoys working with primary school-aged children with developmental delays and fine motor skill... difficulties. She is really enjoying developing her experience as an OT working in early intervention. Amy is also currently employed as a Disability Support Worker and is in training to soon become a teacher at GymbaROO. In her free time Amy enjoys baking, keeping active and re-reading Harry Potter. 11.01.2022 A big welcome to our newest team member to be Senior Occupational Therapist Heather Ferguson! Heather graduated with a Master Degree in Occupational Therapy from Curtin University. Prior to this, she studied a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Counselling) at Edith Cowan University. She has just returned to Perth after living in Adelaide for three years, where she worked in private practice paediatric clinics alongside Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers a...nd Nutritional Therapists. Heather is experienced at working with children on the Autism Spectrum, with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Pathological Demand Avoidance Disorder. She has a particular interest in working with children to support their regulation, social and emotional needs. Heather has completed additional training in feeding therapy and handwriting. In her spare time, Heather enjoys catching up with friends, exploring new places, going for hikes and spending time with her family. This game has all different levels from beginner, junior, intermediate, advanced and expert.
