16.01.2022 Last Night Bourke Fishing Club ran a Bar at the Bourke Exhibition Centre for the Variety Bash. What a wonderful evening. Thanks to the Bourke Shire Council and Exhibition Centre for including us. And to all the Variety Club Bash members who entertained us all night we wish you safe travels and thank you for supporting our community and Fishing club. A massive thank you to all of our Committee Members for pitching in and helping out, Bevan, Nel and Hayleigh done an awesome jo...b behind the bar, Nikki, Kasey for coming along and helping where ever needed and especially our JNR member Charlii Willoughby who did not stop once all night we thank you all for your hard work. I think one of our committee members who is mad on fishing told a few fishing stories, shared many fish photos and thanks to this we have several groups wanting to return to Bourke for some fishing tours. Early next year we will be releasing Fingerlings, all profits from last night and our weekly raffles at golf will go toward helping restock our river. We are so excited to be able to release fish as it has been a few years since we have been able to do so. See more

14.01.2022 Selling these great merchandise items to help raise funds to restock our beloved river with native fish, we rely on our community and donations thou in trying times we have decided to sell merchandise rather than ask for donations. Annually we hold events for all community members to attend and these are a huge success especially with the kids. All kids get prizes and have a great time. Since starting the fishing club we have released many thousands of Cod and yellowbelly i...nto our weir pool, we have also added to the fish habitats by participating in re snagging projects. We are mighty proud of our hard work and especially proud of the support from our wonderful communities. We are extremely excited to see water flowing down the mighty Darling and in time we plan on releasing many more native fish and adding to the fish habitats. Bourke Fishing Club hold meetings which all community members are welcome to attend and have your say, we are open to all suggestions. See more
