08.01.2022 Joanna and Kia Wei's wide-eyed excitement and almost child-like giddyness of being back in Melbourne was a revelation to us. It would be a whirlwind photographic journey through Melbourne's most iconic spots, though ordinary to Brandon and I - Melbourne held a romantic and special meaning to Joanna and Kia Wei. Joanna and Kia Wei are a couple of Malaysians who left their hearts in Melbourne where they first met. With the warm sun on our skin in the cool early Spring air, the ...smell of freshly ground coffee beans from nearby cafes, the joyous ring ring of the city circle tram, the charm of old-world colonial architecture of Flinders Street station right next to funkified only-in-melbourne new-age Federation Square. Although it was technically Brandon and I who were taking our couple around Melbourne, we felt like it was Joanna and Kia Wei who showed us how to truly appreciate our home that we have taken for granted for so many years. 07.01.2022 I'm beaming with pride as Brandon's little sister Jane is newly engaged! Anthony is very much a family man and we welcome him with open arms to the Ly clan. Jane wore flowers in her hair as they sat on a rather uncomfortable tree stump high in the mountains. Jane's name in Vietnamese means "Blue Sky" and what a great blue sky day it was. We should call it these days "Jane Days" from now on. We love the energy (and biceps) that Anthony brought to the photoshoot and Jane's long wavy hair looked marvelous in the sun. Love you both!

05.01.2022 Yesterday, our dear friends Way Lin and David were married at the beautiful Red Hill Estate in the far south of Victoria. In many ways it was like coming back to where they first began - to the ocean, blue skies and of course wine. It can be tricky trying to photograph a wedding where you know the couple so well. At times it can be tempting to just run up to them and hug them to bits during key moments. We have shared much of Way Lin and David's journey together and we're so ...happy to have watched their transformation. Way Lin was once a shy little girl who giggled when you teased her. She is now a confident, powerful woman with an iron will and crazy determination - who will giggle and then kick you when you tease her. David who was the joker when he was younger is now Mr Responsible dedicated to taking care of his wife and family. He will also eat anything you give him. Way Lin and David are an incredible couple. They make you feel like anything is possible, and boy can they dance! Here's to a very special couple who will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
