It might cost more initially, but its a worthy investment especially as your wood effect tiled floor will look amazing for the many years to come. 2. You need a totally level floor if you dont have one this is where the skill of a professional becomes essential!... 3. Lay the tiles with a 2-3mm grout gap. This ensures the tiles look more like a real wooden floor rather than tiled. Choose a grout colour similar to the shade of the tile, so that it blends in rather than stands out, for a more realistic finish.
