25.01.2022 It is with great pleasure this morning that John and Andrew from AJC Electrical, proudly accepted a 40 year recognition of membership award from our industry association, Master Electricians at the Cricketers Club, the Gabba, during an excellence award function. 40 years in the Electrical industry is something that we are extremely proud of as a company and credit this to the fantastic staff and clients that we have had over the years. Thankyou to all of our clients for putting trust in AJC Electrical!

23.01.2022 AJC Electrical has been the preferred electrician for many multi-million dollar residential builds, and this is one of them. We have been a part of this from day one (which was a very, very long time ago) and it has been dormant in its construction over recent years. Recently the owner has decided to put it on the market which will give many the opportunity to see the grand scale of it in photos. If you think it’s big in the photos though, wait until you see it in real life!

14.01.2022 The first of two planned weekend shut downs was successfully completed by the team at AJC Electrical on Saturday. In the early hours of Saturday morning, three diesel generators were connected to temporarily power an entire laboratory building at Griffith University for the day. This allowed for safe shut down works to be completed in the building main switch board. All generators supplied, connected and disconnected problem free. 06.01.2022 WARNING: Beware of cheap Chinese imports! This laminator was purchased on eBay as Australian stock, from an Australian address. It was was given to us to change from a foreign plug top to an Australian plugtop. Problem 1, it’s illegal to sell items in retail, in Australia, with a foreign plug top. Upon further inspection, we noticed there was an earth cable missing from the supply lead. Problem 2, the item is full metal bodied and not double insulated meaning it shall be eart...hed from plug top to body. Finally we noticed that the 240v heater trace element has its connection resting on the metal body. This was major problem 3! The instant this new device would have been plugged in and turned on, the body of the laminator would have become electrified and a potential death trap. When the seller was approached, they informed us it was ok if used correctly. WRONG! Needless to say, we are obligated to report items like this to the relevant authorities and they have been swift to act.

03.01.2022 It never ceases to amaze us how much people are willing to risk their life or serious injury for the sake of a few dollars in scrap copper. For the second time in under a week, we were called to the same site to identify a problem caused from the illegal theft of a customers copper. On the second occasion, we suspect the offender was not so lucky. What you can see here is serious fault where the person involved may be seriously injured or possibly worse. The person was no wh...ere to be found following this incident but there is a good chance they are carrying some serious internal and external injuries. It appears this person was attempting to remove live copper bars from a 1200 amp, three phase main switchboard. Whilst removing the first bolt (on the top of red phase), things have gone seriously wrong. This site also had a transformer in close proximity to this switchboard so the fault current level at this location would have been enormous! As much as it angers us that these things happen, it also makes us sick from the thoughts of what could have happened to the person involved. If you ever hear of anyone conducting such acts we suggest reporting them to authorities and at the very least, you could save their lives...
